Objective: In this study, as the research object to patients with active rheumatoidarthritis of stagnation heat type, evaluate clinical efficacy and safety of dampness andpromoting blood circulation therapy combining leflunomide for the treatment of activerheumatoid arthritis, and search for effective integrative treatment for active rheumatoidarthritis.Method: The60cases with active rheumatoid arthritis of wet heat stasis type wererandomly divided into2groups so that each group has30cases.Treatment group usedqingrelishihuoxue therapy combining with leflunomide, and control group usedleflunomide. Observed period is three months and observe the efficacy indicators ofrheumatoid arthritis,TCM syndrome indicators, laboratory indicators and safety indicatorsof two groups. Results:In the overall improvement rate of TCM syndromes, in the treatmentgroup, the total effective rate was93.3%, and the significantly control rate is70%,while inthe control group, the total effective rate was70%,and significantly control rate was33.3%, there were significant differences between the two groups (P=0.027<0.05),and theexperimental group was better than the control group; in ACR20efficacy evaluation, thedifference between two groups was not statistically significant (P<0.05),and theexperimental group was better than the control group; in the improvement of ESR,C-reactive protein and rheumatoid factor, two groups were significantlydifferent(P<0.05),and the experimental group was better than the control group; in theimprovement of swollen joint count, tender joint count, morning stiffness, pain VAS score,DAS28score, GH, HAQ, etc., two groups were significantly different(P<0.05),and theexperimental group was better than the control group; in the consumption of surrogate, thedifference between two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05); all of the safety indices in two groups were normal, three patients in the control group had mild epigastricfullness, while in the experimental group, one patient had mild diarrhea and two patientshad mild epigastric fullness, and there was no difference in the security of two groups. Conclusion: Compared with the simple use of leflunomide, combiningqingrelishihuoxue therapy could receive better clinical efficacy in treating activerheumatoid arthritis of wet heat stasis type.It was safe and reliable.
