The Clinical Study Of Self Designed Treatment Of Relieving Asthma With Retention Enema For Pediatric Asthma Episodes (Heat-induced Asthma)

Purpose:According to the principle of“relieving the secondary symptoms first in treating acute disease”, the author adopts uniquetheoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine and syndrome differentiationby means of clinical curative effect observation of self designed self designed treatment ofrelieving asthma with retention enema for pediatric asthma episodes (heat-induced asthma).Itreveals that this method takes advantage of its mechanism to relieve the symptoms, alleviatepain or burden of patients at the extreme and also improve the patients’quality of life.Method: This research based on the observation about60patients who are diagnosed aspediatric asthma episodes (heat-induced asthma) in Affiliated Hospital to ChangchunUniversity of Chinese Medicine from December2012to December2013, The study usesrandomization with random number table, then the patients are divided into two groups:treatment group and control group,30cases in each group. The patients in control group aretreated with conventional western medicine treatment which is combining antibiotics andother supportive therapy; while for the patients in treatment group, relieving asthma retentionenema treatment is added compared with control group. In this study,, clinical symptoms ofbefore and after treatment as well as the number of eosinophile granulocyte are observed andrecorded, then the difference of curative effects in the two groups is statistical analyzed.Result: In treatment group,8case are clinical controlled,18cases were markedly effective,3cases are normally effective and1case is ineffective. The total rate of effectiveness is96.70%. However, in control group,the total effective rate is76.70%. Therefore, the resultsillustrates that the treatment group is better than control group (P <0.05).Conclusion: By detailed analysis the findings of the study, it shows that the result of thetreatment group is superior to the control group, which indicates the self designed treatmentof relieving asthma with retention enema is effective for the infantile asthma episodes(heat-induced asthma). It can not only improve the clinical symptoms, but also reduce thenumber of eosinophile granulocyte. Meanwhile, it is easy to be accepted by children.
