Objective:It was to explore the effect on balance and gait of strengthening the training hip abductor of leg amputees with prosthesis and find a methord that could affective leg amputees with prosthesis on balance and gait,to observe systematic the leg amputees with prosthesis who wias assigned to strengthening group of four biceps and hip abduction muscle and controling group of four biceps training after1mounth,with random, single and blind therapy.Method:33amputees met the criteria were randomly divided into routine group and intensive group. The conventional group use isokinetic testing instrument training unit four biceps and stock two myo, in the base of conventional group using isokinetic testing instrument strengthening basic group also training the hip abduction muscle, two groups all use isokinetic dynamometer testing data before treatment, rehabilitation treatment after2weeks and4weeks, and useing the balance instrument testing(Overall stability index, Anterior/Posterior Index, Medial/Lateral Index)after rehabilitation therapy for2weeks and4weeks and gait parameters (velocity, side step, step width).Results:1. After2weeks and4week treatment, both groups revealed significant difference (P<0.05) on peak torque after inknee flexion and extensionexcersice.2. After4weeks treatment with balance tester statistical analysis and treatment, the two groups in the rehabilitation were significantly improved comprised with2weeks’, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); comparison between groups:both groups in the overall stability index, Anterior/Posterior Index, Medial/Lateral Index are no significant differences after2weeks (P>0.05);, strengthen the group compared with the control group, in the overall stability index, Anterior/Posterior Index, Medial/Lateral Index, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05) after4weeks treatment.3. After4weeks’ rehabilitation treatment, the two groups on gait parameters statistical analysis (velocity, side step, step width and step difference) were significantly improved comprised with2weeks’, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); comparison between groups:treatment for2weeks and4weeks, strengthen group in Cross step left, step width, as compared with the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Unit four quadriceps and gluteal muscle were enhanced training of leg amputation wearing prosthetic socket, can effectively improve the patient’s gait and balance, falls and gait abnormalities.2.Strengthen the group to strengthen muscle training program training hip to more can obviously improve the amputees balance and gait function than conventional isokinetic training unit four biceps.3.Amputees if rehabilitation training rational and correct, in balance and gait can be close to normal people, enhance training balance in leg amputation wearing prosthetic socket and the improvement of the efficacy of gluteal gait, worthy of further study.
