Objective:To evaluate the antihypertensive effect of Tuiqiaogong treating the essential hypertension by randomized controlled trial and reveal the mechanism of Tuiqiaogong treating the hypertension by means of analyzing blood pressure changes before and after the massage.Method:81outpatients or inpatients with grade1hypertension in the third affiliated hospital of Chengdu University of TCM are randomly divided into tuina group, tuina combined with western medicine group and western medicine group. Take the Tuiqiaogong as the main treating manipulation. Tuina is applied in tuina group and tuina combined with western medicine group for1month while patients in the western medicine group are only taken oral antihypertensive agents for1month, then record the before and after blood pressure changes dividedly. Follow up and record the blood pressure level separately after treating1month and3months. Analyze the difference of these three groups by observing the changes of systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and mean pressure before and after treating.Results:1. All the patients’blood pressure in these three groups have decreased significantly:15in the tuina group are cured and6are controlled in the range of border-line hypertension;17in the tuina combined with western medicine group are cured and8are controlled in the range of border-line hypertension;17in the western medicine group are controlled in the range of normal blood pressure and5are controlled in the range of border-line hypertension. The effective rate of the three groups respectively are77.7%,92.5%,81.4%.2. After the treatment, the drop level in blood pressure of tuina combined with western medicine group is obviously better than the other two groups and dividedly has significant difference and statistical significance(P<0.05); the western medicine group is slightly better than tuina group and there is no statistical significance(P>0.05).3.Comparing the blood pressure after treating1month, tuina combined with western medicine group has a smooth blood pressure controlling level and has a more obvious statistical significance than the other two groups(P<0.05), but the difference between tuina group and western medicine has no statistical significance(P>0.05).4. Observing the blood pressure after treating3months, tuina combined with western medicine group has a smooth blood pressure controlling level and has a more obvious statistical significance than the other two groups(P<0.05), while the difference between tuina group and western medicine has no statistical significance (P>0.05).5. Systolic blood pressure levels decreased significantly higher than diastolic and mean blood pressure in tuina combined with western medicine group and tuina group; the before and after treating difference of systolic, diastolic and the mean blood pressure within group have statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. Tuiqiaogong has significant, safe and smooth antihypertensive effect specific to essential hypertension;2.The drop of systolic blood pressure levels decreased significantly better than the drop of the diastolic and the mean blood pressure which explains that Tuiqiaogong may mainly achieve antihypertensive effect by reducing cardiac output;3.Tuina therapy can control the blood pressure within the normal range and even achieve the effect of cure.
