Objective:To detect plasma levels of omentin and leptin in patients of normal pregnancy and Preeclampsia pregnancy as well as explore the relationship and pathogenesis with Preeclampsia, thus determine whether plasma omentin and leptin levels can be used as an indicator of Preeclampsia. To study the relationship between omentin and leptin, lipid metabolic indicators, therefore preliminarily investigate the potential pathogenesis of Preeclampsia. Methods:Plasma omentin levels were measured by enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA) in30cases of normal pregnant women(group A),30cases of pregnant women with mild preeclampsia (group B),30cases of pregnant women with severe preeclampsia (group C).Meanwhile,TC、TG、HDL-C、LDL-C were measured.Results:(1)SBP、DBP、TC、TG、LDL-C levels in Preeclampsia patients were higher and HDL-C level was lower than those in the control group (P<0.05).(2) Plasma omentin levels was highest in the group A, and plasma omentin levels was higher in group B than in group C(P<0.05).(2) plasma levels of omentin in control group (400.05±211.9) ng/L,mild preeclampsia (307.03±230.34) ng/L, and severe preeclampsia (155.84±20.71) ng/L group were gradually decreased, there were significant differences among them(P<0.05). plasma levels of leptin in control group (37.38±15.16) ng/mL,mild preeclampsia (54.59±16.89) ng/mL, and severe preeclampsia (110.25±31.45) ng/mL group were gradually elevated, there were significant differences among them(P<0.05).(3) Positive correlation was showed between omentin and HDL-C. There was significant negative correlation between omentin levels and leptin、BMI、SBP (P<0.05).(4)In a multiple stepwise regression analysis, BMI was independent variables of omentin (P<0.05).Conclusion:Preeclampsia patient is characterized by lipid metabolic. Plasma omentin levels is decreased in the Preeclampsia patients. As the disease progresses, the levels of plasma omentin is more lower in Preeclampsia patients. On the other hand, Plasma leptin levels is increased in the Preeclampsia patients, With the disease progresses, the levels of plasma omentin is more higher in Preeclampsia patients. There was significant negative correlation between omentin levels and leptin. Omentin and leptin might play an important role in the pathogenesis and development of Preeclampsia, which may be the new indicators for predicting Preeclampsia.
