Clinical Analysis Of45Cases Of Benign Symmetric Lipomatosis

Objective:Explore the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of benign symmetric lipomatosis, BSL to provide reference for improving the clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods:Collect the clinical data of45patients with benign symmetric fat fibromatosis in Tumor Hospital of Guangxi Medical University. Make a review analysis of its etiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis.Results:45patients all were male.44patients have a large quantities of alcohol history. Clinical symptoms and signs, B-ultrasound and CT show the main features that thera are ministry of symmetric non-enveloped fat mass accumulation in the subcutaneous tissue of the neck, parotid and items. There are4cases of diabetes,6cases of hypertension, five cases of hyperlipidemia,4cases of hepatic diffuse lesions.25of the45cases make a disposable surgical resection,20of them make a staging and zoning surgical resection. After the operation, all patients made the biopsy specimens. The pathological diagnosis was non-enveloped adipose tissue. All patients followed have a appearance improving of the neck, due to postoperative hematoma2cases of the pationts suffered the oppression of respiratory tract, then made a secondary surgery.Postoperative fat liquefaction infection was discovered in3cases. After antibiotic and dressing therapy the pationts have been improved in two weeks. Patients were followed up for10months-11years, with an average follow-up period of6years,45cases were alive,10cases was recrudesed, including9cases continued alcoholics after the surgery.2cases of relapse back to the hospital again after surgery.Conclusion:benign symmetric lipomatosis is a disease with the main features of plenty of non-enveloped symmetric accumulation of fat mass in the subcutaneous tissue of the neck portion. The disease may cause long-term heavy drinking induced chronic alcoholism, often associated with a variety of chronic medical diseases. One or more installments, the partition open excision of fat mass to relieve local pressure, improve the appearance of the treatment of the disease is a safe and effective method. alcohol after the surgery can reduce the recurrence rate of the disease.
