Objective:Cytomegalovirus is one of the most common pathogen which causes infection in newborn. However, few studies on disease burden of CMV infection of newborn are available in China. This study launches an investigation on congenital CMV infection of newborn and risk factors, as well as1-2year follow up after get infected. Including Hearing, intelligence, physical development of who were infected CMV.Methods:from March2011to March2013, five hospitals in Pingyin and Wendeng in Shangdong province were selected, wet saliva, dry saliva saliva and DBS were collected, The nucleic acid of CMV were detected by Real-time PCR,CMV-IgG antibody were detected by ELISA,basic information of newborn and mother were collected by nurse when in hospitals,the newborn of congenital CMV infection were followed-up in hearing development, mental development, physical development when newborn was one or two older. Result:①47positive cases of CMV were detected in5483cases, infection rate of congenital CMV was0.86%(47/5483,95%CI:0.61-1.1), positive of CMV-IgG were4789cases, the positive rate was95.5%(4789/5013,95%CI:95.0-96.2);②the copies of virus number in wet saliva and dry saliva salivahave no significant difference between the positive rate;the positive rate in wet saliva was0.86%, dry saliva was0.76%and dried blood was0.05%;he wet saliva as a standard saliva,sensitivity of dried was50%, the sensitivity of dried blood was2.94%;③efficiency of wet saliva was99.21%, highter than dried blood and dried saliva;④Occupation of mother, family residential type, age of marriage for mother have statistically significant associationwith congenital CMV infection;⑤congenital CMV infection haveimpact on low birth weight, shorter birth length when newborn were borned;⑥congenital CMV infection has no effect on the hearing development, intelligence development, physical development when infecter in one or two older.Conclusion:①he infection rate of congenital CMV was0.86%, the positive rate of CMV-IgG antibody was95.6%;②wet saliva is better samples in congenital CMV infection screening work in China;③Occupation of mother, family residential type, age of marriage for mother have statistically significant association with congenital CMV infection;④congenital CMV infection have impact on low birth weight, shorter birth length when newborn were borned;⑤congenital CMV infection has no effect on the hearing development, intelligence development, physical development when infecter in one or two older. But need further followed up study on the long-term effect of congenital CMV infection.
