ObjectiveTo discuss and evaluate the application effect of empowerment education for stroke patients with the first attack. To compare the influence effect of two different health education which included traditional health education and empowerment education ways on disease related health knowledge, health-promoting lifestyle and control of stroke recurrence rate in one year and evaluation of the degree of satisfaction of community health education.Methods120 stroke patients were selected by random sampling method.These stroke patients were all conformed to the choose standards and agree to take part in the research.The stroke patients with the first attack were managed by Jingye community health centre of Jinzhou City from August of 2013 to October of 2014. Divided the participates into two groups—experimental group and control group,60 each group. the controlled group gives the random of traditional health education by community medical staff.The experimental group gives empowerment education ways by the team of graduate student majored in nursing and community medical staff.Study period for six weeks.In order to judge the effects of traditional health education way and empowerment education way for stroke patients with the first attack on disease related health knowledge, health-promoting lifestyle and control of stroke recurrence rate in one year and evaluation of the scores of satisfaction of community health education as the evaluation indexs.Data was processed through SPSS17.0 software. Inspection level is setted as α=0.05,when P<0.05,it is significance in statistics.Results1、Scores of disease related health knowledge comparison:Compare scores of disease related health knowledge between two groups before intervention,differences are not significance in statistics( P > 0.05). Comparison in groups before and after intervention,the difference(d) shows the level of disease related health knowledge of experimental group is higher than control group(P<0.01).2 、 Scores of health-promoting lifestyle profile comparison: Compare scores of health-promoting lifestyle profile between two groups before intervention,differences are not significance in statistics( P > 0.05). Comparison in groups before and after intervention,the difference(d) shows the scores of health-promoting lifestyle profile of experimental group is higher than control group(P<0.01).3、Scores of the members satisfaction comparison:Compare the scores of members, satisfaction between two groups before intervention,differences are not significance in statistics( P > 0.05). Compare the scores of members,satisfaction between two groups after intervention,differences are significance in statistics(P<0.01).Comparison in groups before and after intervention,the difference(d) shows the level of members satisfaction of experimental group is higher than control group(P<0.01).4、The stroke recurrence rate in one year comparison: Compare stroke recurrence rate in one year between two groups after intervention, differences are significance in statistics(P<0.05).Conclusions1、The empowerment education mode can effectively increase the scores of disease related health knowledge.2、The empowerment education mode can effectively increase the scores of health-promoting lifestyle profile.3、The empowerment education mode can effectively decrease the stroke recurrence rate in one year.4 、 The empowerment education mode can improve the scores of members satisfaction and quality of community service.
