Study Of Correlation Factors Of Chronic Rhinosinusitis

Objective:To investigate the relationship and clinical significance between the patient-based questionnaires, the computed tomography(CT) Lund-MacKay staging system, Lund-Kennedy endoscopy staging system, nasal mucosa’s bloatedness, FEV1/FVC, FEV1%of lung function tests and eosionphiis(EOS) in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis(CRS).Methods:Quantitative data of 356 preoperative recruits with CRS were collected who were diagnosised to CRS in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from Feb.2013 to Sep.2014 by using sino-nasal outcome test-20 (SNOT-20), a visual analogue scale (VAS), eosionphiis tests, lung function tests, nasal endoscopy, the computed tomography of paranasal sinus, CRS is classified into two types based on the presence or absence of nasal polyps:CRS with nasal polyps (CRSwNP)(181 cases) and CRS without nasal polyps (CRSsNP) (175 cases), Correlation between SNOT-20, Lund-Kennedy endoscopy staging system and the CT Lund-MacKay staging system were analyzed in the total cohort patients and subgroups. Results:① the each of eosionphiis has Significant difference (P<0.05).In the total cohort patients.② there were significant correlations between the CT Lund-MacKay staging and eosionphiis (r=0.331, P<0.01).③ nasal mucosa’s bloatedness of Lund-Kennedy endoscopy staging and nasal secretion score (r=0.221, P<0.01) ④ FEV1/FVC (%)、FEV1%of lung function tests and eosionphiis(r=-0.267, P<0.05). ⑤ There were no significant correlations between eosionphiis, sniffle and constitutional symptom scores.Conclusion:The eosinophils has some relevance with CT Lund-MacKay and Lund-Kennedy endoscopy staging systemscore of chronic rhinosinusitis.for a better understanding of the pathogenesis of chronic rhinosinusitis and condition,we can be classified as eosinophils and the severity and prognosis of chronic sinusitis as part of the reference, to further explore the relationship between the upper and lower respiratory tract of patients. There were no significant correlations between the subjective questionnaires and the computed tomography(CT) Lund-MacKay staging system, Lund-Kennedy endoscopy staging system.For a better understanding the change of patient’s phychological and physiological,we must combined use of subjective survey scale and objective examination.
