Objective:To investigate the ethnic minority areas in Xinjiang Uygur and Han women with breast cancer in COX-2 mRNA expression level differences. Methods: 2012-2014 comprehensive collection of Xinjiang medical university affiliated Tumor Xinjiang Medical University affiliated Tumor Hospital collect detailed information on breast cancer cases and 120 cases of fresh specimens were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (QRT-PCR) carcinoma, paraneoplastic and fibroadenoma tissue COX-2 gene expression at the mRNA level analysis of its expression differences between groups and within groups of Han and Uygur.Results:41 cases of Han cancer,8 cases of paraneoplastic and 16 cases of benign tissue, COX-2 expression levels were 1.71 (0.71 to 6.83),1.25 (0.76 to 1.39),0.42 (0.15 to 0.93) respectively; compared with the control group, COX 2 expression was significantly higher in cancer tissues, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01);38 cases of Uygur cancer,13 cases of paraneoplastic and four cases of benign tissue, COX-2 expression levels were 0.16 (0.05-0.96),0.39 (0.18-0.88)、1.62 (0.34-10.21) respectively, compared with the control group, yet see COX-2 expression in cancer tissues increased (P> 0.05); Uygur and Han carcinoma groups difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). Uygur, Han groups fibroadenoma benign tissue’s COX-2 gene levels were 1.00 (0.29~3.75)、 0.42 (0.15-0.93),the difference was not statistically significant (P≥0.05). There were significant differences in the expression of COX-2 in tumor size (P<0.05);Conclusion:COX-2 expression in breast cancer was significantly higher compared with benign tissue, Difference between Uygur and Han between the two groups was not statistically significant in benign tissues; Uygur and Han COX-2 expression was statistically significant, suggesting that COX-2 expression of ethnic differences.
