Objective:Our research is to investigate the effect of family rehabilitation nursing training in rehabilitation of hemiplegic patients with cerebral infarction during hospitalization, through rehabilitation nursing knowledge and skills training on cerebral infarction family, demonstration and guidance by clinical nurses, family members of patients of rehabilitation care measures. These measures were observed in cerebral infarction hemiplegia limb motor function and activities of daily living (ADL) effect. We investigate the role of clinical nurses and family members in rehabilitation of hemiplegic patients with cerebral infarction to provide a theoretical basis for clinical rehabilitation nursing.Method:Select 76 cases in June 2010 to May 2011 in Cangzhou Central Hospital in neurological department of internal medicine hospitalized for a first episode of hemiplegic patients with cerebral infarction as the object of study. All patients underwent head CT and (or) MRI. It conforms to the diagnosis standard of cerebral infarction patients combined with the test results and clinical symptoms. All patients were divided into rehabilitation group and control group according to the order in hospital. Odd was rehabilitation group.Even was the control group. Each group had 38 people. There were no significant differences between two groups in gender, age, cultural degree, disease severity, course and treatment (P>0.05). Two groups of patients were received routine treatment and nursing care of neurological department of internal medicine after admission. Two group received acupuncture therapy and the bedside rehabilitation guidance with table disease by residency contact rehabilitation. A nurse is responsible for the care of the patients in the two groups, including routine nursing and rehabilitation nursing. In addition, she is responsible for training family rehabilitation nursing knowledge and skills in the rehabilitation group and guiding family on the implementation of rehabilitation nursing of patients. She did not give a training guide to families in the control group, and only implement rehabilitation nursing on patients. Effect of rehabilitation was assessed by the Fugl-Meyer motor function assessment scale (Fugl-Meyer assessment, FMA) on the motor function of patients with score and by modified Barthel index rating scale (modified Barthel index, MBI) evaluation on activities of daily living (ADL).They were assessed with FMA and MBI when patients were on admission, after three weeks and after three months. Results:There was no significant difference between the two groups of patients with FMA and MBI score at the time of admission (p>0.05); Two indexes were improved after three weekend admission, but the difference of the two groups of patients with FMA and MBI score was not significant (p>0.05); Two indicators improved significantly after 3 months, but the effect of rehabilitation group was better than control group. The difference of the two groups was significant (P<0.01).Conclusion:Clinical nurses train families of patients and guide families for the patients of rehabilitation care. These measures can significantly improve cerebral infarction hemiplegia limb motor function and activities of daily living (ADL) recovery. Moreover, patients’ family members who have mastered the basic knowledge and skills of rehabilitation nursing care for patients can continue to do rehabilitation nursing for patients with cerebral infarction after discharge from hospital. These measures can significantly improve the prognosis of the patients.Clinical nurses and family members play a very important role in rehabilitation of hemiplegic patients with cerebral infarction.
