Objective:1.To observe the effects of Decoction for tonifying the kidney and removing phlegm(Bushen Huatan Huoyu Tang) combining with zoledronate. on serum PTHrP of the patients with bone metastases in the state of kidney deficient and Phlegm Blood Stasis, so as to further explore the action mechanism of tonifying the kidney and removing phlegm for therapying the bone metastasis. 2.To verify the curative effects by comparing the effcts on relieving degree of pain, index of life quality(Karnofsky) in group of(Bushen Huatan Huoyu Tang) and that combining with zoledronate.Methods:Selected 60 cases of malignant neoplsms bone metastases.The cases were randomly divided into a treatment group(Chinese and modern Western medicine) and a control group(modern Western medicine alone).30 cases in treatment group were treated by 4mg of zoledronate,(made by Zhengdatianqing Pharmaceutical Factory) plus 100 ml of 0.9% of NS,once in 4 weeks with the duration in 15-30 min.At the same time,they were orally given Bushen Huatan Huoyu Tang(bought from the third affiliated hospital of The Troditional Chinese medicine of Henan University),1 decoction in a day,which is gigen in moring and evening.A course lasted 4 weeks.30 cases in control group were treated by 4mg of zoledronate,(made by Zhengdatianqing Pharmaceutical Factory) plus 100 ml of 0.9% of NS,once in 4 weeks with the duration in 15-30 min for 1 course,which lasted 4 weeks.Collect the serum sample of patient before and after treatment.Detect the PTHrP of serum sample by ELISA in two groups.Observe the change on relieving degree of pain, index of life quality(Karnofsky) to verify the curative effects.Carry out the statistical analysis of experiment result.Results:There was no significant difference on gender,age,pain degree,KPS and serum PTHrP before treatment between treatment group and control group. The serum PTHrP were ruduced dramatically after treatment,which has a significant difference compared with control group(P<0.01)after the statistical analysis. 4 cases had remarkable effects,and 22 cases had effects on relieving degree of pain in treatment group,while 1 case had remarkable effects,and 16 cases had effects in control group.There was a significant difference(P<0.05).9 cases had remarkable effects,and 16 cases had effects on KPS in treatment group,while 3 case had remarkable effects,and 12 cases had effects in control group.There was a significant difference(P<0.05).The effective rate reached 43.3% in treatment group,which was 30% in control group combining the CT,ECT and X Rate before and after treatment between two groups.However,there was no difference(P>0.05)after the statistical analysis.Conclusion:1.Bushen Huatan Huoyu Tang combining with zoledronate can restrain osteolysis effect of osteoclasts to treat malignant neoplsms bone metastases by down-regulate the serum PTHrP of patients in treatment group.2.Bushen Huatan Huoyu Tang combining with zoledronate to treat malignant neoplsms bone metastases,can improve response rate of zoledronate.Treatment group has advantages on relieving degree of pain, improving Karnofsky and improving quality of life.
