Study On The Characteristics And Prevention Strategies Of Occupational Lower Extremity Trauma In Hengyang City

Objective:occupation of lower extremity trauma patients were surveyed in Hengyang city, through which to understand the factors influencing lower extremity trauma occupation and its characteristics, to explore strategies for the prevention of lower limb trauma, thus to reduce the occupation to provide evidence of the incidence of lower limb trauma in this region.Methods:Patients with occupational lower limb trauma were surveyed in five hospitals ranking third rate, from 2013 November to 2014 October in Hengyang city, with questionnaire. It conducted a questionnaire survey on the occupation of lower extremity trauma patients in Hengyang City, and the distribution and structure features to descriptive analysis; using the MannWhitney Test method. The influencing factors of the severity of injuries of lower extremity trauma occupation were analyzed with a statistically deviation of P< 0.05, which was statistically significant difference.Results:1, Ratio of the objects surveyed between male and female in Hengyang City is 4.25:1;aging from 20 to 39 accounted for 60.42%;with a relatively lower educational background and income than average, accounted for 44.83%;most of which are heavy manual workers accounted for 69.68%;Trauma happens most on May, and least on January, and from 8:00 to 16:00 daily accounted for 56.02%.2, Among occupational lower limb trauma patients, feet are the most likely injured parts accounted for 34.03%; others are slightly injured accounted for 38.50%, and the main types of injuries in the construction areas(416 patients,32.10%). Inattention is the main cause of the injured patients(35.49%).3, 66.28% of patients claim not having received pre-occupational training in the companies, 52.62% of which were owned by private institutions.4, Factors that influence the occupational lower extremity trauma patients were analyzed, and results showed that: Patients who were cut and twisted suffer more severely, and mining workers have the highest percentage of trauma, 24:00-8:00 has the highest possibility of being hurt. Short working time and omission of pre-occupational education are of the main causes.Conclusions:1, Hengyang City occupational lower extremity trauma patients are mainly consisted of young males, with short working time, low educational background and income, enterprises are mainly privately owned, providing no pre-occupational education.2, Injury mechanism, different types of work, age, period of time and omission of pre-occupational training were the factors are the severe factors to the injured patients with occupational lower limb trauma.
