The area of the Dongting Lake is China’s important base of grain, cotton, oil, and fish. It is also China’s schistosomiasis epidemic stricken area. By the end of 2013, the uncontrolled area of the Dongting Lake is still 4900km, with a total of 116417 patients of schistosomiasis. Parts of the areas with the epidemic have not been effectively controlled. At present, the social economic contradictions and the contradiction hindering the promotion and standard meeting of the prevention of schistosomiasis of the epidemic area man-land relationship can be summarized as:firstly, the contradiction between the control strategy and the economic development. The work of schistosomiasis control had once changed the development of aquaculture, animal husbandry and aquaculture of counties surrounding the Dongting Lake. Secondly, there is the contradiction between the project construction of schistosomiasis control and economic benefit. The Schistosomiasis control project usually has a large construction area, with tight funds and long cycles. Thirdly, there is the contradiction from the frequent interactions between people and water of the epidemic water of the lake. The lakes and all kinds of water channels for the production and living of the residents are also important places for the breeding of Oncomelania hupensis and schistosomes. Fourthly,the contradiction between the schistosomiasis control project construction and ecological environment. Channel hardening and the planting of snail forests for a large area break the ecological balance of lakes and wetlands.This paper takes the solution of the economic contradiction and the man-land contradiction in the schistosomiasis control of the Lake area as the starting point. Firstly,it analyzes the industrial development characteristics, spatial characteristics of the epidemic area, and the behavior characteristics of residents from the perspective of human geography in Dongting Lake area, making an analysis from aspects as the functional mechanism and main methods of various chistosomiasis control measures of the Lake area; secondly, from the perspective of the interaction between the epidemic water and the resident’s water, it establishes the Dongting Lake schistosomiasis system model, combing the interaction mechanism and the multiple causal relationship among the economic subsystem, social subsystem, environment subsystem, and the disease index, and determining the key control indexes of the level of urbanization, the strength of water reform and toilet reform, the awareness rate of residents’ schistosomiasis control knowledge and the correct rate of their behavior; thirdly, it takes the schistosomiasis control data of the Changde city as the sample, using the fitting correlation entropy and grey correlation model to make a quantitative analysis of the fitting correlation among the schistosomiasis control data of various key regulation indexes and differet popular types’ epidemic area, and establishing a decision system of the comprehensive schistosomiasis control measures regarding epidemic areas of different popular types, and providing a basis to the screening of the key schistosomiasis prevention and control measures of the epidemic area; fourthly, combining with the schistosomiasis control decision-making system, regarding goals as "blocking the transmission chain, cutting off the route of transmission, controlling the source of infection, improving the ecological environment of the Lake area, strengthening the administrative management level, improving the basic quality of the residents, and improving the economic vitality of the Lake area", to construct courtyard ecological economic schistosomiasis control mode, water and land circulation ecological economic schistosomiasis control mode, lake grass resources development and utilization schistosomiasis control mode, and so on, presenting various Lake area schistosomiasis comprehensive prevention and control modes and the security system of modes construction,provide some reference to the construction of a comprehensive control and prevention mode of the schistosomiasis epidemic of the Dongting Lake area under the composite targets of disease control, economic, social, ecological and so on.
