Clinical Efficacy Of Early Osteonecrosis Treated By Warm Acupuncture

ObjectivesTo discuss the positive influence to the warm acupuncture treatment on movement disorder of hip function and pain among other symptoms caused by early osteonecrosis, providing theoretical suggestions and experimental data supports to clinical application of warm acupuncture treatment to early osteonecrosis, and giving a new thinking and treatment method to early osteonecrosis treatment through test results observation and analysis.Methods60 early osteonecrosis patients treatment cases were collected for observation and analysis, all of which are clinical cases in the Femoral Head Department of our hospital from January 2014 to September 2014. The 60 cases were randomly divided into Treatment Group (conventional treatment plus warm acupuncture) and Control Group (conventional treatment). Following one month’s treatment, the two groups of cases were scored in the first 1 weeks, the 2 weeks,2nd months and 6th month respectively by a Clinical Efficacy Questionnaire on Early Osteonecrosis. The treatment efficacy was then analyzed and evaluated chronologically based on the data collected, at the same time, cases in the-two groups are compared and analyzed to evaluate the treatment efficacy.ResultsThere was no statistical significance in terms of gender, age, pain score, and Harris score, in the two groups of cases before treatment. After 1 weeks and2 weeks of treatment, there was no statistical significance in pain scores and Harris scores between the two groups (P>0.05). After 2 month and 6 months treatment, there was statistical significance in pain scores and Harris score between the two groups (P<0.05). The clinical curative-effect of the treatment group is significantly better than the control group in the X2 statistic with P<0.05.ConelusionWarm acupuncture treatment has curative effect in the treatment on early osteonecrosis by significantly relieving the pain, improving the movement disorder of hip function. The treatment is safe and convenient, and is worth wide application in clinical practices.
