Bone cutting operation is generally applied to the plastic surgery, dental surgery and neurosurgery.The process of which involves temperature increase and stress change,necrosis of bone nerve and weak regenerative capacity would be caused by excessive temperature;excessive pressure can damage cartilage and nerve. During the bone cutting,cutting tool and bone constant friction and friction is one of the important infactors that affect the cutting temperature. Bionic tribological research indicates that high-performance micro-texture on the surface can achieve fine anti-friction and anti-abrasion properties.Due to the function of reduce friction of micro-texture, the bone cutting process of temperature and stress by micro-texture tool was analyzed in this paper.In this thesis, the author simulated the cortical bone cutting process by the finite element software ABAQUS6.11, then established bone-cutting models using micro-texture tool based on the bionic tribology. To analyze the anti-friction effect of micro-texture tool in the surgery,the temperature and average stress in the third deformation were referred. The research process is as follows:1. Micro-texture were designed and worked on the pin sample,then the the friction and wear test was carried.Summarize the relationship between the friction coefficient and geometric dimension of the micro-texture, We found that pin samples with micro-texture performed better in anti-friction and anti-abrasion than the common pin samples. What’s more,the friction coefficient decreased with the increase of width and increased with the increase of spacing.2. The features of bone cutting were analyzed,such as the material, boundary condition and grid distribution, the common tool and micro-texture tool were establish separately by the finite element software ABAQUS,the bone cutting simulation.Through two groups of bone cutting simulation experiments:the temperature and average stress in the third deformation area during the bone cutting process of micro-texture tools were much lower than those of common tools.3.The model of circular cross section,square and triangular cross section micro-texture tool which with the same micro-texture width, spacing and depth were establish respectively in ABAQUS. These three kinds of cutting tool were used simulation.The simulated experiment showed that the micro-texture tool of triangular cross section caused the lowest temperature and average stress in the third deformation area.4.The relationship between the geometric parameter of micro-texture and the average stress of the third deformation area was studied.The Scope of experiment: texture spacing0.07-0.19 mm, depth of 0.01- 0.05 mm, width of 0.02- 0.06 mm.when the micro- texture spacing of 0.16 mm, depth of 0.03 mm, 0.04 mm width, the stress of the third deformation area is the minimum.4. The central composite experiments were designed according to the space,width and depth of micro-texture tool,then establish the models of micro-texture tool respectively,set up bone cutting simulation.The average of temperature and stress of the third deformation area were concluded, and the geometric of micro-texture and corresponding results were imported the software Design-expert to data optimization, then obtained the relationship between the space, width and depth of micro-texture tool cutting temperature : the temperature in the third deformation area decreased with the increase of width and increased with the increase of spacing and depth, and that width influenced most while depth influenced least.
