Data Mining-based Analysis On The Regularity Of Ancient TCM Prescriptions For Amnestic Mild Cognitive Impairment

ObjectiveTo explore composing principles of prescriptions for amnestic mild cognitive impairment recorded on the Encyclopedia of Traditional Chinese Medicines based on the traditional Chinese medicine inheritance support system (TCMISS).MethodsPrescriptions for amnestic mild cognitive impairment recorded on the Encyclopedia of Traditional Chinese Medicines were entered into the TCMISS. Composing principles of these prescriptions were analyzed by TCMISS-integrated unsupervised data mining algorithms (including Improved Mutual Information, Complex Systems Entropy Clustering, and Unsupervised Entropy Hierarchical Clustering).Results1.268 varieties of herb are found through analyzing 298 ambulatory recipes in treatment of amnestic mild cognitive impairment. The total frequencies was 3259 in all the medical herbs.2. The common used Chinese herbs in amnestic mild cognitive impairment are usually with warm, flat, sweet, spicy, and bitter tastes, positioned mainly in heart. The types of the herbs are reinforcing herbs, tranquillizer herbs, inducing resuscitation herbs. The herbs, which wereconcurrent used most frequently and more representative are showed as follows:ginseng, angelica, radix rehmanniae, Ophiopogon, licorice in reinforcing herbs, Polygala, cinnabar, semen Ziziphi·Spinosae, keel in tranquillizer herbs, Acorus gramineus and musk in inducing resuscitation herbs.3. Based on association rules analysis, there are 26 Chinese medicine combination when occurrence of herbs is 50, such as ginseng, polygala root, polygala root, Poria, cinnamon, Poria, etc.. Adjust the support to 89, we can get the core combination of amnestic mild cognitive impairment:ginseng, Polygala, Fuling. Based on entropy method,24 core herbal combinations and 12 new prescriptions were evolved.ConxlusionThrough the research of ancient book literatures of amnestic mild cognitive impairment, we got the common understanding in prescription rules and characteristics. The research was also of some directive significance in modern clinical work, it can provide some reference for inheritance and development of famous doctors’ experience.
