Objective:To discuss and explore the early clinical effects between the Bigbag and MI60 intraocluar lens(IOL) implantation in cataract patients with high Myopia. Methods:We investigated the clinical data of 83 patients who had received phacoemulsification and IOL implantation. The patients were divided into two groups:Patients in group A(n=36,56 eyes) were all used the Bigbag IOL and the others patients were as group B(n=36,56 eyes) all using MI60 IOL.Preoper ative and postoperative axial length, anterior chamber depth, visual acuity,BCVA,refractive status were recorded.Position of the intraoeular lens and postoperative complications were observed. Results:(1)The postoperative axial length increased in two groups than preoperative, and group B increased more evident than group A(P<0.05).The variations in distance from the posterior capsule memebrane to the retina were significantly different between group A(2.92±0.79mm) and group B(4.51±0.81 m m).(2)The diopter of refractive error 6 months after surgey:42 eyes(68.85%)of bigbag group were within 1.0 D,33 eyes(58.92%)of M160 group were within 1.0 D.(3)The postoperative visual acuity of two groups were better than the preoperative visual acuity(P<0.05),but there were not significant differences on best corrected visual acuilty.Postoperative subjective visual satisfication in group A was superior to group B.(4)Complications:goup A has 3 cases of capsular opacification;group B has 3 cases of capsular opacification,1 case of IOL deviation, and 1 case of posterior vitreous detachment. Conclusions:This clinical research showed the special designed Bigbag IOL is more suitable than MI60 IOL in cataract patients with high myopia. We consider it is more effective and safety.
