| Objective:To observe the effects of festering moxibustion for the moderate and severe cognitive impairment after stroke.Methods:60 patients met the inclusion criteria of stroke, by a simple randomization method, were divided into treatment group and control group,30 cases in each group. The conventional therapy. was given to patients in two groups, including internal medicine disease therapy (do not using the western medicine of improving the cognition in order to eliminate the individual difference on the western medicine), rehabilitation training, acupuncture, scalp acupuncture. The treatment group was treated with festering moxibustion at "Baihui", bilateral "Yinbai" and bilateral "Shaoshang" on the basis of the treatment for the control group, each point of the 5 zhuang, once a day,6 days every week, total 6 weeks. All patients used the Mini-mental state examination (MMSE) and the Neurobehavioral cognitive status examination (NCSE) to evaluate the cognition function after stroke in the before treatment, treatment one week and at the end of the treatment. All data was statistically analyzed by SPSS 16.0.Results:There was a significant difference in the scores of MMSE and NCSE between treatment group and control group after treatment one week (P<0.01). There was a difference in the scores of MMSE and NCSE between treatment group and control group at the end of the treatment (P<0.05,P<0.01).Compared with treatment one week, the scores of NCSE was significantly improved in 6 weeks (P<0.05). there were no achieve statistical significance in the scores of MMSE between treatment one week and at the end of the treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:Festering moxibustion at "Baihui", bilateral "Yinbai" and bilateral "Shaoshang" can improve the cognitive impairment after stroke.Explained by festering moxibustion at "Baihui", bilateral "Yinbai" and bilateral "Shaoshang" to Tong Yang, can promote the recovery of mental diseases, and improve the moderate and severe cognitive impairment after stroke. |
