Objective To evaluate the measles immunization levels of maternal and neonates in Hefei city, to analyze the influence factors of measles antibody levels of maternal and provide advices for small-month-old child measles prevention and control. Methods Relevant literatures were read, the lowest measles antibody protection rate of maternal was 50%, the study was conducted on 576 samples which was calculated according to relevant formulas. A total of 596 pairs of maternal and neonates who were selected from maternity hospitals in four Districts, four counties and Chaohu lake City according to the proportion of the population aged 20-49 urban counties, were surveyed by questionnaire. The questionnaire included individual general information of maternal, flow and awareness of measles, the gestational age of neonatal, birth weight, sex, mode of delivery and neonatal scores, etc. 5ml peripheral blood of maternal and 5ml umbilical cord blood of neonatal were collected. The geometric mean titers(GMT) of measles serum Ig G antibody were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) method. The database was established using Epi Data 3.1. All the questionnaire and experimental data were double entried. The SPSS 13.0 was used for statistical analysis. Quantitative data were compared using t-test if they meet normal distribution and homogeneity of variance, or rank sum test if they did not meet normal distribution. Three groups and more quantitative data were compared using analysis of variance if they meet normal distribution andhomogeneity of variance, or rank sum test for not meeting. The test level was α =0.05.Results The measles antibody positive rate of maternal was 77.5%, the protection rate was 34.9%, GMT was 468.9, the measles antibody positive rate of neonatal was87.1%, the protection rate of 46%, GMT 670, The measles antibody positive rate, protection rates and antibody titers of neonatal were higher than maternal,(?2 = 155.9,P =<0.001; ? 2 = 221.8, P <0.001;. t =-8.47, P <0.001). the logarithms of measles antibodies of maternal was positively correlated with neonatal( r = 0.65, P <0.001),maternal occupation, flow, moving times and awareness of measles knowledge were influence factors of measles antibody levels in maternal, maternal age, neonatal sex and mode of delivery were the influence factors of measles antibody levels in Neonates. Conclusions This study found that the logarithms of measles antibodies of maternal was positively correlated with neonatal, To improve the level of measles antibody of maternal can improve Neonates, Delivering measles vaccine during the first three months of pregnancy was recommended to women of childbearing age, Analysis on related influence factors found the measles antibody level of Neonates whose delivery mode was natural were higher than cesarean section. Natural birth was recommended to Maternal during delivery.
