Objective:To detect the expression of BTF3 and HIF-la protein in colorectal cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues, then to analyze the relationship between their expression and its clinicopathological parameters of the colorectal patients. And disscuss the clinical siganificance of the expression of BTF3 and HIF-la in colorectal cancer. Methods:The 105 cases of colorectal tissues paraffin blocks were collected from the hospitalized patients of the Gerneral Surgery Department of the People’s Hospital of Hunan Province from January 2013 to January 2014. These complet clinical archive dates were getted from the Pathology Department. It including 61 cases of colorectal cancer tissues and 44 cases of adjacent normal tissues, and the 61 cases of CRC were consists of 29 colon caicinoma and 32 rectal cancerImmunohistochemical SP was used to detect the expression of BTF3 and HIF-la protein in colorectal cancer and adjacent normal tissues, then use the SPSS 20.0 statistical software to analysis the relationship and clinical significance between their expression rates and its clinicopathological parameters (age, gender, tumor location, tlymph node metastasis). And disscuss the correlation between BTF3 and HIF-1α protein about their expression rates in colorectal cancer.Results:1. The positive expression rates of BTF3 protein in colorectal cancer group was 40.98%(25/61), while the the adjacent normal mucosa group was 0%(0/44), P< 0.05. In the patients group that with lymph node metastasis, their positve expression rates was 56.67% (17/30), however, the patients group that without lymph node metastasis was only 25.81%(8/31), P=0.014. While the positive expression rates of BTF3 in the patients group that were greater or equal to 60 years old was 42.86%(15/35), the other patients group that were less than 60 years old was 38.46%(10/26) only,P=0.119. As fo the gender difference, the positive rates of BTF3 in male patients group was 46.15%(18/39), while the female patients group was 31.82%(7/22), P=0.274. The tounor from different locations such as colon and rectum, their positive expression of BTF3 37.93%(11/29) and 43.75%(14/32), P-0.644.2. The positive expression rates of HIF-1α protein in colorectal cancer group was 59.02%(36/61), while the the adjacent normal mucosa group was 27.27%(12/44), P=0.001. In the patients group that with lymph node metastasis, their positve expression rates was 73.33%(22/30), however, the patients group that without lymph node metastasis was only 45.16%(14/31), P=0.025. While the positive expression rates of HIF-la in the patients group that were greater or equal to 60 years old was 54.29%(19/35), the other patients group that were less than 60 years old was 65.38%(17/26) only, P=0.383. As fo the gender difference, the positive rates of HIF-1α in male patients group was 53.85%(15/27), while the female patients group was 68.18%(15/22), P=0.274. The tounor from different locations such as colon and rectum, their positive expression of HIF-la were 58.62%(17/29) and 59.38%(19/32) respectively, P=0.950.3. The ratio of BTF3, HIF-1α that were both positive /negative expression in colorectal cancer were 36.07%(22/61) and 59.02%(36/61), ues Spearman correlation coefficient analysis to analyse the correlations between the two factors’expression in CRC, we can work out the following dates, r=0.414, P=0.0001.Conclusions:1.The expression rates of BTF3 and HIF-la protein in colorectal cancer were higher than that of the adjacent normal tissues.2. The expression rates of BTF3 and HIF-1α in colorectal cancer was correlated with each other, and their positive expression rate may be associated with the lymph node metastasis of colorectal cancer, but with the patient’s age, sex, tumor location are of independent.
