Li Jun was a scholar who was born in the late Qing Dynasty. He was a famous Traditional Chinese Medicine physician, a philologist, a collector of books, and a educator. He was also a representative one of integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine School. Li Jun was born in a family full of scholars and studied Confucianism when he was a child. After suffering from disease, he decided to learn medicine from several tutors. He read a lot so that he mastered not only Chinese Medicine but also Western Medicine. He enjoyed collecting books and stored thousands of books. He had healed hundreds of people after he became a doctor and founded several schools in his hometown. He was a imperial doctor of Emperor Guangxu and Cixi the queen mother and was famous in Beijing. He was a loyal one and never forgot his duty. Based on Qian-Jia textual research school, he had great achievement in Traditional Chinese Medical literature reorganization, treating disease and health care.Based on Li Jun’s manuscripts in China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and "Imperial Doctor Li Jun’s collected works in Qing Dynasty" compiled by Chen Ke-ji and Wang Zong-xin, this article does basic research on "The Classic on Medical Problems", "Treatise on Febrile Disease in Tang Dynasty", "Health Care Prescriptions of General Treatise on the Causes and Syndromes of Diseases" and "The Final Version of Medical Essays" reorganized by Li Jun. The methods of this article are literature study methods.The results conclude four parts.First. Based on results of Wang Zong-xin and Jing Yun-mei, this article makes research on the life of Li Jun. It can be sure that Li Jun, who was born in 1856, was a Han Chinese. He had at least six tutors before he became a famous Confucian physician. His medical skill was succeeded by Wang Feng-chun. Zhao Shao-qin was the disciple of Wang’s. Dr. Lin Yin and Dr. Peng Jian-zhong of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine are the 3rd generation disciples of Li Jun.Second. This article makes textual research on Li Jun’s medical books. With the hard work of Wang Zong-xi and myself, we found that there are 14 kinds of books written by Li Jun that still exist. And eight kinds of them belong to Traditional Chinese Medical literature reorganization.Third. Based on Qian-Jia textual research school, the methods of Li Jun’s Traditional Chinese Medical literature reorganization can be generalized in five points:1. Paying attention to bibliographies; 2. paying attention to foreign good editions; 3. reading all kinds of books; 4. using four kinds of correction methods; 5. quoting classic objectively.Finally. Making conclusion of the achievements in Traditional Chinese Medical literature reorganization by Li Jun.1. The achievements of Li Jun’s books about "The Classic on Medical Problems". Li Jun confirmed that "The Classic on Medical Problems" had been finished in East Han Dynasty, and recovered parts of "The Classic on Medical Problems" in Tang Dynasty. He evaluated various editions of "The Classic on Medical Problems" and complemented "Comments of The Classic on Medical Problems Together".2. The achievements of "Treatise on Febrile Disease in Tang Dynasty" by Li Jun. This book is the first one that not only named the edition of "Treatise on Febrile Disease" in Tang Dynasty, but also reorganized "Treatise on Febrile Disease" in Tang and Song Dynasty by the best edition, and is also the first one that commented "Treatise on Febrile Disease in Tang Dynasty" from literature style. Moreover, the book confirmed that "Differentiating the Febrile Disease" the ancient edition still existed in Sui and Tang Dynasty.3. "Health Care Prescriptions of General Treatise on the Causes and Syndromes of Diseases" is the first one which quoted all the Health Care Prescriptions from "General Treatise on the Causes and Syndromes of Diseases". This book has important position in the history of health care.4. Based on Traditional Chinese Medical literature reorganization, Li Jun declared his medical thought named "Based on spleen and stomach" and "Pay attention to Febrile Disease and Warm Disease equally" in his book "The Final Version of Medical Essays". He criticized Wang Ang and Zhang Jie-bin, and praised Liu Wan-su, Zhu Zhen-heng and Ye Gui.The value of this article concludes four points:1. Complementing the shortage of bibliographies.2. Summarizing the methods of reorganizing ancient medical books by Li Jun, and giving helps to today’s researchers.3. Summarizing the results of reorganizing ancient medical books by Li Jun, and providing materials for medical literature research.4. Summarizing the medical thought of Li Jun, and giving advice to today’s medical treatment and health care.
