Rational body composition is very important for maintaining the human body’s normal life activities which its accurate measurement is the basis of objective assessment of nutritional status, weight control, physical research and clinical disease treatment. Currently body composition analyzer on the market has a wide range of products, but only measures body composition index, does not generate targeted health intervention programs or provide health management, has become a bottleneck restricting factor in health promotion services. Therefore, we carried out a study on the measurement of body composition and fat reduction intervention programs, the main tasks include:1. A design and implementation of a system of measuring body composition based on bioelectrical impedance method. We have designed a hardware measurement system with high precision and reproducibility which used 8-electrode measurement method and based on segmental impedance model. While taking advantage of the powerful advantages of human-computer interaction in Android system, we have designed a software system with the merit of easy operation friendly interface. The system have verified by testing standard impedance model. The results show that the average error of the impedance measurement is less than the current market mainstream tester body composition. Under the same test conditions,2nd track testing has carried out through the sample. The result shows that the correlation coefficient of the twice test result is 1.00 in a significant degree of 0.01, indicating that this system has a high repeatability. Meanwhile, the paired samples T-test has showed no significant difference (P> 0.05) through the weight, body fat and muscle of the body composition measurement system and the body composition measuring instrument of TANITA’s TBF-418, indicating that the body composition measurement system designed in this paper has better consistency with the testing results of TBF-418.2. A study of the intervention programs of fat reduction based on the fat rate. As the traditional method based on body mass index of assessing the obesity has defects of high or low assessment of the degree of obesity. This paper proposed a method for assessing body fat based on the fat rate; We have designed a intervention model of fat reduction for the populations of high percentage of body fat which based on the above method; We have built a closed-loop application platform with weight controlling and health promotion services, By preliminary tests of 20 individuals with three-month intervention period, we have found that fat reduction intervention model based on this study has good adaptability and effectiveness.The system of body composition measurement and the intervention model of fat reduction we have designed in this paper solve the problem that a single body composition analyzer in current market has single function, enhance the application value of the product, provide a practical solution for achieving the goal of fat reduction, weight control, rehabilitation of chronic diseases and closed-loop health management services.
