Investigate The Expression Of LUNXmRNA And The Relationship Between It And Traditional Chinese Medical Syndrome Type In Patients With Lung Cancer

Objective To investigate the feasibility of using LUNXm RNA in BALF(broncho alveolar lavage fluid) for a lung cancer diagnosis and distinguishing the Traditional Chinese differentiation in patients of lung cancer; to evaluate the clinical value of using LUNXm RNA of PB(peripheral blood) as a new tumor marker of micro--metastasis in lung cancer sufferers, and then to investigate the relationship between LUNXm RNA of PB and the Traditional Chinese differentiation of lung cancer.Methods Take the alveolar lavage fluid of patients who accept the examination of fiberobronchoscopy as specimens, and peripheral blood is also taken from people that meet certain eligibility requirements. Then extract the total RNA from the specimens and translate it to c DNA. Using the RT-PCR method to test the lung specific protein LUNXm RNA of BALF and PB, to compare the differences of LUNXm RNA ‘s expression in BALF between lung cancer sufferers and non-lung cancer sufferers, then analyze the dates distribution characteristics between different syndrome types of lung cancer. To analyse the relationship between the positive detection rate in PB and the lung cancer TNM stage and investigate its regulation of distribution between the TCM syndrome types in lung cancer.Results There are statistical differences between the lung cancer group and the Tuberculosis(TB) group in the expression levels of LUNXm RNA in BALF(the date of TB is higher than lung cancer), in the accumulation of phlegm and the dampness in the lung, Yin asthenia and virulent heat, the LUNXm RNA of BALF expresses the highest levels(it has no statistical difference between them, P<0.05), it expresses the second level in Qi stagnation and blood stasis, and in Asthenia of both Qi and Yin it expresses the third levels. The LUNXm RNA of PB has a higher positive detection rate in PhaseIII, IV of lung cancer and Yin asthenia and virulent heat, Asthenia of both Qi and Yin.The difference is statistically significant among different syndrome types of lung cancer.Conclusion The test of LUNXm RNA in BALF has no specificity for the diagnosis of lung cancer, but it has relationship with the Traditional Chinese differentiation in patients of lung cancer, it is associated with phlegm, heat and toxicity. The test of LUNXm RNA in PB can be used in micro-metastases of lung cancer, but it has poor sensitivity, also it has relationship with the Traditional Chinese differentiation in patients of lung cancer, especially in the type of asthenia.
