Object i veBy researching the clinical efficacy of the application of national famous specialist of chinese medicine Lai Xinsheng’academic ideology-Tongyuan theory to acupuncture and acupoint catgut embedding therapy on Depressive’ neurosis, this study aims to provide mature treatment and reliable evidence for Depressive neurosis.MethodsFrom June 2013 to February 2014,60 patients who meet the diagnostic criteria for dipressive neurosis are divided into 2 groups randomly and averagely for the acupuncture and acupoint catgut embedding therapy group (the Tongyuan treatment group)and the Fluoxetine group (the control group). On the basis of Tongyuan theory and the TCM syndrome differentiation of Depressive neurosis, the acupoint prescriptions applied to acupuncture and acupoint catgut embedding therapy are implemented once per week for the Tongyuan treatment group. Patients in the control group take FLouxetine 20mg per day. Two groups are treated for 8 weeks and observe the curative effect before and after the treatmenst by the total score of Hamilton depression rating scale, the total score of seven kinds of factors in Hamilton depression rating scale and the reduction rate of Hamilton depression rating scale. What’s more, we observe the side effect after the treatments by the Side effects of antidepressants Asberg Scale. At last, we arrange the data by Microsoft office excel 2007 and transacted it with SPSS19.0 soft ware so that we can analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods.Results1. Before the two sets of treatments, the general information of two groups such as gender、age、course、Troditional Chinese Medical syndromes distribution ratio of Depressive neurosis、the total score of Hamilton depression rating scale and the total score of seven kinds of factors in Hamilton depression rating scale has no significant variation as a result that the patients of two groups have comparability.2. The two groups’HAMD total score after the two sets of treatments decreases obviously compared to pre-treatments and the difference is statistically significant, which proves that both of the two sets of treatments can decrease HAMD total score. After the sets of treatments, the statistical comparison between the mimus points of the two groups’HAMD total score shows T=3.1, P <0.05, which indicates the difference is statistically significant and the Tongyuan treatment group is better than the FLouxetine group in terms of decreasing HAMD total score.3. The two groups’HAMD anxiety/somatization factor score after the two sets of treatments decreases obviously compared to pre-treatments and the difference is statistically significant, which proves that both of the two sets of treatments can decrease HAMD anxiety/somatization factor score. After the sets of treatments, the statistical comparison between the mimus points of the two groups’HAMD anxiety/somatization factor score shows T=2.02, P<0.05, which indicates the difference is statistically significant and the Tongyuan treatment group is better than the FLouxetine group in terms of decreasing HAMD anxiety/somatization factor score.4. The two groups’HAMD weight factor score after the two sets of treatments increases slightly compared to pre-treatments and the difference isn’t statistically significant, which proves that both of the two sets of treatments can’t decrease HAMD weight factor score. After the sets of treatments, the statistical comparison between the mimus points of the two groups’HAMD weight factor score shows T=-0.39, P>0.05, which indicates the difference isn’t statistically significant.5. The two groups’HAMD cognitive impairment factor score after the two sets of treatments decreases obviously compared to pre-treatments and the difference is statistically significant, which proves that both of the two sets of treatments can decrease HAMD cognitive impairment factor score. After the sets of treatments, the statistical comparison between the mimus points of the two groups’HAMD cognitive impairment factor score shows T=1.432, P>0.05, which indicates the difference isn’t statistically significant and the Tongyuan treatment group is no different to the FLouxetine group in terms of decreasing HAMD cognitive impairment factor score.6. The two groups’ HAMD diurnal variation factor score after the two sets of treatments decreases slightly compared to pre-treatments and the difference isn’t statistically significant, which proves that both of the two sets of treatments can’t decrease HAMD diurnal variation factor score. After the sets of treatments, the statistical comparison between the mimus points of the two groups’ HAMD diurnal variation factor score shows T=-0.766,P >0.05, which indicates the difference isn’t statistically significant.7. The two groups’ HAMD retardation factor score after the two sets of treatments decreases obviously compared to pre-treatments and the difference is statistically significant, which proves that both of the two sets of treatments can decrease HAMD retardation factor score. After the sets of treatments, the statistical comparison between the mimus points of the two groups’ HAMD retardation factor score shows T=3.506, P<0.05, which indicates the difference is statistically significant and the Tongyuan treatment group is better than the FLouxetine group in terms of decreasing HAMD retardation factor score.8. The two groups’ HAMD sleep disturbance factor score after the two sets of treatments decreases obviously compared to pre-treatments and the difference is statistically significant, which proves that both of the two sets of treatments can decrease HAMD sleep disturbance factor score. After the sets of treatments, the statistical comparison between the mimus points of the two groups’ HAMD sleep disturbance factor score shows T=3.211, P <0.05, which indicates the difference is statistically. significant and the Tongyuan treatment group is better than the FLouxetine group in terms of decreasing HAMD sleep disturbance factor score.9. The two groups’ HAMD hopelessness factor score after the two sets of treatments decreases obviously compared to pre-treatments and the difference is statistically significant, which proves that both of the two sets of treatments can decrease HAMD hopelessness factor score. After the sets of treatments, the statistical comparison between the mimus points of the two groups’HAMD hopelessness factor score shows T=2.382, P<0.05, which indicates the difference is statistically significant and the Tongyuan treatment group is better than the FLouxetine group in terms of decreasing HAMD hopelessness factor score10. After the two sets of treatments, overall response rate point of the two groups is markedly different by the Ridit test (P<0.5) o The overall response rate of the Tongyuan treatment group (97%) is obviously overtop than control group(90%),which suggests that the overall curative effect of the Tongyuan group is higher than the control group.11. After the two sets of treatments, the difference of two groups’the Side effects of antidepressants Asberg Scale score are statistically significant, T=18.054, P<0.05, which shows that the side effect of the Tongyuan treatment group is less than the FLouxetine group obviously.ConelusionBy applying Tongyuan theory to acupuncture and acupoint catgut embedding therapy on Depressive neurosis, the symptoms of Depressive neurosis can be impooved efficaciously. By comparing the treatment with Fluoxetine, its short-term effect is similar to Fluoxetine, furthermore, its long-term effect is better than Fluoxetine. What’s more, the side effect of acupuncture and acupoint catgut embedding therapy is fewer than Fluoxetine. Additionally, the cost of the treatment is economical and the operation is easy, which can improve the symptoms of Depressive neurosis effectually so that it can be used clinically as an alternative to medication therapy.
