ObjectiveIn our study, we had removed the traditional chiness medicine decotion, which belonged to the type of clearing heat and resolving phlegm, instead of the treatment. Airway mucus hypersecetion is the key point. We evaluated the effect of the synthetical treatment, that includeded chinese medicine and BAL means, that influenced on the patient of AECOPD.MethodsAccroding to the different treatments,120 patients, who had met the inclusion cretiria coming from the deparment of ICU and respiration, were randomly divided ino four groups in the study. Each group was consisted of 30 patients. The observation period is one week. We had evaluated the the effect on the baise of the change of the score and MUC5AC.Result1. The baseline conditions:the age, sex and CAT scroe etcetera, among the four groups did not exsit the statistical significance. The four groups were comparable.2. TCM symptoms score:the score of four groups respectively exsit the statistical significance within groups before and after the treatment. Group C had statistical significance comparing with groupA, groupB and groupC among groups.3. The effect comparison:the total effective rate of Group C is 93.3%, which is the highest among the groups (P<0.05) on relieving the symptoms. the total effective rate of Group C is 96.6%, comparing with other groups (P<0.05) on the expectorant effect evaluation.4. The MUC5AC content:After the strict screening, we got 40 qualified sputum specimens. There exsits 10 qualified sputum specimens in each group. The level of the MUC5AC was decreased after the treatment in the four groups. And the result was statistical significance. Among the GroupA, GroupC and GroupB, the result was statistical significance. But there no exsited statistical difference between GroupC and GroupD.ConelusionOn the basis of the routine western therapy, using the Chinese medicine and BAL treatment can effectively promote sputum discharge. Simultaneously, The comprehensive treatment can change the character of sputum through reducting the expression of mucin. Ultimatly we got the result that this theary can improve the airway hypersecretion state.
