In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), meridians are the essential theories for disease detection and treatments. The meridians of the nature of science have not yet been elucidated until today. Recently, many scholars had paid attention to the study of electrical characteristics of acupuncture point and make them widely used in all kinds of diseases. The Essential Hypertension is a common clinic disease. In this paper, we detected and collected the potential difference of EH’s acupuncture point and investigated the relationship between EH’s blood pressure and the potential difference of acupuncture point. In this paper, the experiment was mainly in two parts, the first part was to collect the basic electric potential difference of the 12 meridians, the 240 acupoint combinations of 8 patients of EH and 15 normal persons. Then, we make a Statistics and Data Analysis to find the detectors of the potential difference for the second part. The second part was to use the TAT-SOD, as a probe of sacavenging intracellular free radical, to massage the ZuSanli and NeiGuan and observe whether the change of electric potential difference can cause the EH’s blood pressure’s change.Statistical analysis after the first experiments, we have come to the conclusion that the potential difference’s range of EH is-60.00 mV to 60.00 mV, while the nomal group is-30.00 mV to 30.00 mV. The EH’s range of potential difference have more one times than nomal group’s. The 12 meridians of EH group are unstable than the nomal’s. In addition, the meridians and the acupuncture points of EH and nomal are significant diference in individual. The EH’s deviation is greater than the nomal’s. After T test, we find out the XiaJuxu—NeiTing and YangLingquan—DiWuhui have no individual difference (P> 0.05) but significant difference between the two groups (P< 0.01). Therefore, the two acupuncture combinations will be regard as the detective points in second part experiment. In the second part of experiment, the electric potential difference of XiaJuxu— NeiTing of 2 EH patients reduced from 49.30 mV and 34.76 mV to 26.23 mV and 22.41 mV, the reduction was 23.07 mV and 12.35 mV, while the electric potential difference of YangLingquan—DiWuhui reduced from 40.58 mV and 40.44 mV to 19.79 mV and 19.72 mV, the reduction was 20.79 mV and 20.72 mV. Apart from the reduction of electric potential difference, the Systemic Blood Pressure (SBP) of patients reduced from 190.00 mmHg and 185.00 mmHg to 150.00 mmHg and 152.00 mmHg. The eduction of SBP was 40.00 mmHg and 32.00 mmHg, the curative effect of reducing blood pressure was prominent. Besides, the reduction of SDP was only 4 mmHg and 11 mmHg, having no obvious change. In summary, massaging ZuSanli and NeiGuan by using the TAT-SOD as a probe of sacavenging intracellular free radical. We found that the decline of the electric potential difference of XiaJuxu—NeiTing and YangLingquan—DiWuhui caused the decrease of the blood pressure of EH patients. The electric potential difference and blood pressure had a positive correlation. The results are also illustrates the characteristics of the potential difference of acupuncture point between the nomal group and EH group, the relationship between acupuncture point and blood pressure, the relationship of the characteristics of acupuncture point and blood pressure. It’s not only to provide a new perspective of studying EH in the view of characteristic of acupuncture point, but also reveal an unknown bioelectric system for reporting and controlling body function.
