Objective To study the association of bone mineral density(BMD) upon type 2 diabetes patients(T2DM) with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Subject and methods 1.119 cases of T2 DM selected on the basis of liver B-mode ultrasonography were divided into two groups: the former is T2 DM group with 62 patients and the latter is NAFLD group with 57 patients. 2.All the members were draw fasting blood to test the blood glucose(BG), blood lipid, C peptide(CP), the functions of liver and kidney, urine microalbumin(MAU),height and weight et al. the BMD of lumbar vertebrae 1-4 and the femoral neck, Ward’s tri, Torch, dist, prox were asessed. Ultrasound measurement of liver was conducted. Measurement data were studied by statistical analysis, type 2 diabetes mellitus and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease related risk factors and type 2 diabetes mellitus and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease in patients with bone mineral density to reduce the risk factors. Results The 1evel of body mass index(BMI), triglyceride(TG), total cholesterol(TC), CP, glutamyl transpeptidase(GGT), uric acid(UA) and MAU in NAFLD group were significantly higher than that in T2 DM group(P<0.05). The 1evel of BMD of femoral neck,Ward’s tri and dist was significantly lower than that in T2 DM group(P<0.05). NAFLD group was negatively related to ages, courses, the BMD of femoral neck, distal forearm, was in positive correlation with BMI,TC,TG,CP,MAU(P<0.05).The BMD of femoral neck was negatively related to ages, courses, BG, hemoglobin A1c(Hb A1c),TC, was in positive correlation with BMI, high density lipoproteincholesterin(HDL-C)(P<0.05). The regression Logisticanalysis showed BMI, TG and UA were the independent influence factors of NAFLD(P<0.05).Conclusions T2 DM combined with NAFLD had close relationship with BMD, the 1evel of BMD in patients with NAFLD and diabetes was lower than pure diabetes patients. BMI,CP, blood lipid are factors that influence BMD in patients with T2 DM combined with NAFLD. To study the risk factors of T2 DM patients with NAFLD and BMD, and then to intervent and cure the osteoporosis can provide important clinical significance.
