Objective:To investigate the incidence trends of acute cerebral infarction in active malignant tumor inpatients, and to explore the mechanism of the trends. Methods:A retrospective analysis of the active malignant tumor inpatients with acute cerebral infarction in the first affiliated hospital of guangxi medical university from 2003 to 2012.525 cases of inpatients and their clinical information were collected, including:age, gender, types of cancer, the traditional risk factors, TOSAT subtype and treatment plan. Describe the incidence trends of acute cerebral infarction in active malignant tumor inpatients,in the last decade.Use SPSS 17.0 statistical software for statistical analysis. Results:In the study of malignant tumor inpatient complicated with acute cerebral infarction accounted for 0.98% of malignant tumor inpatient and 3.37% of cerebral infarction inpatients. From 2003 to 2012 cancer inpatients with cerebral infarction incidence increased year by year.,their predilection age is 60-79 years old, sex (male to female) ratio is 3:1. The most common type of cancer are lung cancer (n=153,29.14%), leukemia(n=51,9.71%), liver cancer,(n=48,9.14%), the types of cancer in male is similar to the overall trend, while breast cancer, gastric cancer and the female reproductive cancer are more common in female. In the last 5 years, subtype of TOAST、treatment in malignant tumor and cerebral infarction risk factors changed. Conclusion:This study suggests that from 2003 to 2012, malignant tumor inpatient complicated with acute cerebral infarction are increasing, the change in incidence may be caused by the changes in type of malignant tumor and treatment.
