Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Repair Bone Pill Combined with Bone Stress Stimulator for the treatment of comminuted tibia shaft fractures.Methods:From June 2013 to March 2014,60 patients with Delayed Union from tibia shaft fractures were randomly divided into SS group(stress stimulator), ZXW group(repair bone pill), Combined group (SS combined with ZXW) and Control group using SPSS software according to their admission sequence. The SS group was treated with stress stimulator twice a day.And stress frequency was sent at 1Hz, while stress strength was sent at 200N. The ZXW group was treated with repair bone pill 9g twice a day.The Combined group were treated with stress stimulator and repair bone pill,while the stess frequency and strength and the dose of ZXW was same to the SS and ZXW group. Clinical assessing including the thigh swelling, the weight bearing status of the affected leg were conducted at 1,3,6,12 month after treat.Bone callus growth was evaluated by radiography at 1,3,6,12 month. Using SPSS20.0 software for statistical analysis.Results:All the patients were followed and mean follow-up time was 13.3 months(range, 12-17 months). None of the patients had complications.2 patients have feeled mild acid bilges ith bone stress taps is used in the treatment of fracture position,but it can control.1 cases were lost to follow-up in 1 month(transfer to another province).2 cases eventually being treated by surgery on account of progress to bone delayed union in ZXW.The clinical fracture healing time of the SS, ZXW and Combined group at the 1,3,6,12 months were significantly better than the Control group(P<0.05), the Combined group was better than SS and ZXW group, and the SS group and ZXW group had no statistical differences(P>0.05). the SS, ZXW and Combined group had no statistical difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:With the early treatment of comminuted tibia shaft fractures postoperatively using the repair bone pill with stress stimulator combined,it was effective to promote fracture healing and reduce fracture delay union and un-union. Meanwhile the axial stress combined with repair bone pill was significantly better than stress stimulator or repair bone pill alone. With using of Repair bone pill combined with Stress stimulator. As a result, combined therapy may be used routinely as an adjuvant treatment for comminuted tibia shaft fractures.
