Progression Of Relationship Between Breast Cancer And Metabolic Syndrome

Breast cancer is one of the world’s most common malignancy of women, the incidence of cancer is the first, and seriously harm women’s health. Metabolic syndrome(MS) is a group of syndrome, which is characterized by many diseases or risk factors,like the abnormal glucose metabolism entral obesity,hypertension,dyslipidemia and so on. Each component of the MS are risk factors for cardiovascular disease,therefore,there are more study about MS and cardiovascular disease. In recent years, the research on the relevance of MS and malignant tumor began to rise, More studies have shown that, MS related to malignant tumors, as colorectal cancer, endometrial cancer and so on.At the same time,large number of epidemiological and clinical studies have confirmed that varieties of components of the metabolic syndrome is closely related to the development and progression of breast cancer, and its pathogenesis is associated with many kinds of factors, such as insulin, insulin-like growth factor-1( IGF-1), insulin resistance,endogenous hormone, leptin, adiponectin, inflammatory factors, and etc. Recently,research on the development of the metabolic syndrome and mechanism to promote the development of breast cancer has carried on thoroughly, and the important influence of the development of the metabolic syndrome on breast cancer treatment and prognosis is further understood.Therefore, control of blood glucose, body weight,blood lipids may be the positive measure to prevent breast cancer recurrence and metastasis, and contribute to the prophylaxis of breast cancer.
