Background and ObjectivesTuberculous meningitis (tuberculous meningitis, TBM), was non-suppurative inflammation of the meninges and spinal cord membrane disease that caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis, was a common type of infection in the central nervous system [1]. Tuberculous meningitis was a serious disease could be deadly, how to further improve the cure rate and reduce mortality became an issue of clinical concern. In this study, the use of hormone therapy and on the basis of conventional anti-TB, and the use of intrathecal injection of cerebrospinal fluid replacement therapy, explored the clinical effect of cerebrospinal fluid replacement combined with intrathecal injection of tuberculous meningitis patients.MethodsWe analyzed retrospectively the clinical datas from 64 patients with tuberculous meningitis, each 32 cases were randomly divided into control group and obsevration group, All patients were treated with Isoniazid, rifampicin, pyrazinamide, ethambutol and dexamethasone. In addition, the patients in the obsevration group received Cerebmspinal Fluid Replacement Combined with Intrathecal Injection as an adjuvant therapy, after three months, the cerebrospinal fluid turn time, clinical symptoms disappeared time, the total length of hospital stay were observed and compared between the two groups. The gender, age, severity of disease and clinical manifestations in the two groups, cerebrospinal fluid pressure was not statistically significant (P> 0.05).ResultsThe observation group cure rate was 93.75%.The control group cure rate was 65.63%, the difference was statistically signifcant(P<0.05), and the observation group in the cerebrospinal fluid turn time, clinical symptoms disappeared time, the total length of hospital stay were better than that in control group(P<0.05)ConclusionThe therapeutic effect of cerebrospinal fluid replacement joint intrathecal injection of tuberculous meningitis was obvious, the clinical symptoms and signs significantly shorten the time.
