Development And Evaluation Self-management Scale In Pneumoconiosis Patients

Objectives Based on the characteristics of pneumoconiosis patients, we establish self-management scale for pneumoconiosis patients in our country, provides specificassessment tool for pneumoconiosis patient self-management education and selfmanagement capability assessment.Methods1Based on the theory of self management, investigated plenty of literature athome and abroad, to develop self-management scale framework. Interviewed withpneumoconiosis patients for semi-structured procedure, According the characteristics ofthe patients to develop72entries. Followed-up of10experts engaged in pneumoconiosis,psychology etc, According to the opinions of the experts revised and formed of53items.Established expert questionnaire, by the form of mail or angled to40experts, according tothe opinions of the experts to modify and Formation of49items. Established expertevaluation questionnaire, in the form of email or angled to the selected60experts, to gradeitems using Delphi method.At last the scale items were screened according to average, fullmarks ratio and coefficient of variation, established the pneumoconiosis patient self-management pretesting scale, reliability and validity of scale were evaluated.2Developedpneumoconiosis patients self-management survey scale according to the preliminary scale,selected diagnosed pneumoconiosis patients in occupational disease prevention and controlof hospital as the research objects, to complete the questionnaire by face to face,50caseswas selected to check the feasibility of the questionnaire, And then applied to480patients,used critical ratio, correlation coefficient, and internal consistency coefficient, load factorand so on joint to filter entries again, thus pneumoconiosis patient self-management scaleis established. The internal consistency reliability, split-half reliability and retest reliabilitywere used to evaluate the reliability of the scale. Through the structure validity, contentvalidity and criterion validity to test the validity of the scale.Results1There were40Experts consultation questionnaire,39were collected. Therewere60Expert evaluation questionnaire,55were collected, the positive coefficient ofexperts was91.6%, and the mean of the expert authority score was0.81. according toaverage, full marks ratio and coefficient of variation, five items is not conform to thestandards, Last remaining44,established the pneumoconiosis patient self-managementpretesting scale.2Reliability and validity of the pretesting scale were evaluated, theCronbach alpha coefficient of seven dimensions between0.703~0.913, the whole scale’sCronbach alpha coefficient was0.945.And the split-half reliability between0.739~0.893,total table’s the split-half reliability was0.901,correlation coefficient was between0.265and0.916(P<0.05).3Asurvey of480pneumoconiosis patients,468were taken back,application critical ratio, entry and the correlation of total score, factor analysis and theinternal consistency combined filter entries,4items did not conform to the standard, keep40items,thus pneumoconiosis patient self-management scale is established.4Evaluated onthe scale, The whole scale’s Cronbach coefficient was0.868,7factors’s Cronbachcoefficient were between0.623~0.72.The whole scale’s splite-half reliability was0.829,7factor’ splite-half reliability were between0.620~0.778. Retest reliability coefficients foreach factor was between0.706~0.916,the retest reliability for the total scale was0.928,were statistically significant (P<0.01).Factor analysis showed that retain seven factorsaccord with theoretical ideas, the cumulative variance contribution rate of the factors were57.82%, each entry factor load were greater than0.4, the correlation coefficient of each factor is0.216~0.541, moderate correlation, the correlation coefficient of each factor andthe total score of0.561~0.758,had statistically significant (P<0.01). Criterion validityshowed that chronic self-efficacy scale and pneumoconiosis patient self-management scaledid Pearson correlation analysis, each factor ‘s correlation coefficient was between0.280~0.684, the total correlation coefficient was0.556, were statistically significant (P<0.05).Chronic disease self-management behavior scale and pneumoconiosis patient self-management scale of each factor score of the correlation coefficient between0.380~0.622,the correlation coefficient between the total score of0.641, were statistically significant(P<0.05). Selected30pneumoconiosis patients before and after the education evaluatedthe reaction showed that differences statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusions1Established the pneumoconiosis patient self-management pretesting scale,can be think has good reliability and validity.2Established pneumoconiosis patient self-management scale, the scale has good reliability and validity, high stability,every indicatormeets the requirements of surveying...
