OSAHS And Pulmonary Hypertension

Objective To evaluate the possible occurence of pulmonary hypertension andclinical characteristics in patients with OSAHS,as well as to identify factors,andprovide the reference for early clinical intervention.Methods After excluding the cardiopulmonary disease,patients who were diagnosedOSAHS by polysomnogram from January2010to December2012in the GeneralHospital of Ningxia medical University were recruited.Study subjects were dividedinto OSAHS group,and OSAHS with pulmonary hypertension(PH).Result There were523OSAHS patients during the time,among which362patientsunderwent echocardiography,22cases with pulmonary hypertension and13cases ofcor pulmonale.The occurrence of OSAHS with pulmonary hypertension was6.1%while cor pulmonale was3.6%.There was no difference between patients with andwithout PH in gender,age, height, nationality, apnea times/sleep time,hypopneatimes/sleep time,PH value and PaO2.In the OSAHS with PH, BMI,PaCO2werehigher than OSAHS without PH,whereas MSaO2was lower.Conclusion The occurrence of OSAHS with PH is6.1%.BMI, AHI and MSaO2were associated with the occurrence of pulmonary hypertension.
