Objectives To study the indication and the choice of operative treatment methods andthe postoperative rehabilitation of scapula fractures, the factors would affect the recoveryof shoulder joint function, through evaluating the analysis of the shoulder joint functionrecovery of operative treatment group and non operative treatment group by following-up,and providing guidance for clinic.Methods40cases from the Tangshan north China forensic identification with scapulafractures without receiving operative treatment had been admitted as control group and40cases from the Second Hospital of Tangshan received operative treatment had beenadmitted as study group, which were retrospectively reviewed. The treatment effects wereevaluated by Hardegger classification system, Neer Score and Constant-Murley Score.Statistical treatment was performed by SPSS13.0.Results1The evaluated by Hardegger classification system, the excellent and good rateof the shoulder joint function recovery of the study group was90%, which was evaluatedby Hardegger classification system and control group was only45%, which was1/2of theoperative treatment group. There was statistical significance of the excellent and good ratebetween control group and study group (P<0.05).2The evaluated by Neer Score, theexcellent and good rate of the shoulder joint function recovery of the study group was90%,which was evaluated by Neer Score, and the control group was only45%, which was thesame as the result of evaluation by Hardegger classification system.3When evaluated byimproved Constant Murley score, there were statistical significance between the twogroups in pain, myodynamia and range of motion of shoulder joint. Conclusions By contrast accepted surgical treatment of scapular fractures with non-surgical treatment, we found that:1Appropriate surgical project as early as possible isrecommendable if there was no serious combined injury or illness affecting the surgery.2Reasonable operative approach, internal fixation and the proficiency of the surgeon arethe key factors to improving treatment effect and recucing complication.3In order toensure the effectiveness of postoperative rehabilitation, special attention should be payedduring the of removing the bone clips in the muscles for improving the contractileactivity of the muscles and patients, movement condition. During the operation we shouldmaintain mechanical stability and correct anatomical position of scapular neck fracturesto protect glenohumeral joint and regain the normal contraction regulatory function ofshoulder muscles.4The satisfactory restoration, steady fixation of scapular fractures andfunctional exercise in an early time have great significance for shoulder joint functionalrecovery.
