Objective:Through investigate the materials of the patients diagnosed as Sensorineural Deaf-ness inthe First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University recent five years retrospectively to analyzethe curative effect of acupuncture treatment, select the related influencing factors on thecurative effect, and summarize the clinical significance of acupuncture to treat SensorineuralDeaf-ness, which can provide evidence-based medicine for a better plan to cureSensorineural Deaf-ness.Methods:We took the the patients diagnosed as Sensorineural Deaf-ness in the First AffiliatedHospital of Jinan University in recent five years as the research object, and collect thematerials of the patients who meet inclusion criteria, including sex, age, side of effectedear, the length of time between attack and reception, degree of hearing loss, disease season,with or without vertigo, insomnia, hypertension, cervical spondylosis, diabetes mellitus. Thenwe used the statistical chi-square test and Logistic regression analysis to analyze to identifyrelated influencing factors on the curative effect according to the materials above.Result:This study obtained the survey data of132patients (185ears) and included:76male(111ears),56female (74ears), the average age of48.26;95left ears,90right ears;1day to3years of the length of time between attack and reception, the average duration of58.74day;44ears of the onset in spring,36ears of the onset in summer,50ears of the onset in autumn,55ears of the onset in winter;21ears with hypertension,14ears with cervical spondylosis,29cases with insomnia,4ears with diabetes,53ears with vertigo.In the single factor analysis, we found that sex, age, side of effected ear, degree ofhearing loss, disease season, with or without cervical spondylosis, insomnia, diabetesmellitus were not related to prognosis (P>0.05), while acupuncture or not, beginning totreatment time, with or without vertigo, hypertension were connected with curative effect(P<0.05). Conclusion:1. Acupuncture treatment for Sensorineural Deaf-ness have determined curative effect.2. Prognosis is related to beginning to treatment time and with or without vertigo,while isnot related to age, sex, side of effected ear, degree of hearing loss, disease season, with orwithout hypertension, diabetes mellitus, insomnia. The earlier treatment begin after onsetof Sensorineural Deaf-ness, the better curative effect it has. The curative effect of thepatients without vertigo is better than the ones with vertigo.
