Objective:To explore surgical timing of intermittent exotropia in children,and observe the follow-up children strabismus degree and the recovery of visual function after surgery.Methods:Live in our hospital53cases of children with intermittent exopia,that on January1,2008to December31,2012,preperative all relevant inspection,such as fusion function,with visnal check,stereo vision.According to the preoperative use of prism ande altermate cover method to test the strabismus degree,given individualized way to correct strabismus surgery.And then followed up to observe the postoperative children with strabismus and visual function.Proceed a retrospective analysis.Resuits:(1)Before and after surgery in children with strabismus degree to compare P<0.05,the difference is statistically significant, strabismus diorthosis can reduce the strabismus degree; Strabismus degree change before and after operation between different age groups P>0.05, no statistical differences, different age groups between the strabismus degree of change was not significantly different; Strabismus diorthosis effective rate was81.13%, the comparison between different age groups x2=7.68, P>0.05,there was no statistically significant difference, eye correct there is no obvious different between different age groups.(2)In2cases of preoperative children with visual function, in1case with apparent recovery.(3)Children with fusion functional comparison before and after operation P <0.05,the difference is statistically significant, strabismus diorthosis can improve the function of fusion; Fusion function changes before and after operation between different age groups P>0.05,there was no statistically significant difference, fusion function, no significant differences between different age groups.(4) Before and after surgery in children with stereoscopic sharpness is P<0.05,statistically significant differences in children with strabismus correction surgery stereoscopic improved; Stereo visual sharpness change compare between different age groups P<0.05,the difference is statistically significant, stereoscopic improvement is different between different age groups; Further stereo visual sharpness of change between different age groups were compared two A/C,A/D,B/C,B/D is compared between group P<0.05,the difference is statistically significant,A/B,C/D is compared between group P>0.05,there was no statistically significant difference, group B is6-8years old children of stereoscopic improve good than other age groups.Concluslons:For children of intermittent exotropia surgery can obviously improve the position of eye.The onset of intermittent exotropia strabismus degree has no obvious relation with the ill child age.Children can affect the onset age of intermittent exotropia with binocular visual function.Children with strabismus correction promoted the binocular visual function recovery after surgery.
