A Research To Observe The Effect Of "Yiqi Zhuyu Decoction"on Cervical Intervertebral Disc Herniation With Modic Changes

Objective To observe the effect of "Yiqi Zhuyu Decoction"on cervical intervertebral disc herniation with Modic changes and investigate the efficacy of Modic changes in cervical spine.Methods79patients with CDH were calculated in Suzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and had been divided into3groups. Divided the patients into Modic changes group and non Modic changes(control group2) according to their cervical spine MRI images,whether the images with Modic changes.Divided the Modic changes group randomly,half treated with "Yiqi Zhuyu Decoction"and western drugs is treatment group,half treated with only western drugs is control group1. The efficacy was evaluated by JOA score, cervical spine X-ray,Visual Analogue Scales(VAS) and MRI observation, according pain, nerve function and imaging efficacy in patients with three aspects of evaluation should be analyzed.Results (1)Compared the treatment group with the control group1:The VAS improvement rate between the two groups had statistically difference via independent sample T-test(P<0.05), VAS improvement rate of the treatment group is better than that of control group1,"Yiqi zhuyu decoction" had a better effect; The resorption rate in cervical spine between the two groups had statistically significant difference via independent sample T-test(P<0.05), the resorption rate of the treatment group is better than that of control group1,"Yiqi zhuyu decoction" had a better treatment of CDH with Modic changes.(2) Compared the treatment group with the control group2:The JOA improvement rate between the two groups had statistically difference via independent sample T-test(P<0.05), JOA score of the control group2is better than that of treatment group, it had a better treatment of CDH with non Modic changes by "Yiqi zhuyu decoction";The resorption rate in cervical spine between the two groups had statistically significant difference via independent sample T-test(P<0.05), the resorption rate of the control group2is better than that of treatment group, it had a better treatment of CDH with non Modic changes by "Yiqi zhuyu decoction".The improvement of JOA and the resorption rate had midrange positive correlation by the Spearman rank correlation test (r0.01=0.644,P=0.000).(3) Conclusions (1)The YiqiZhuyu Decoction can play a good therapeutic effect for the patients of CDH with Modic changes.(2)It is an unfavorable factor of cervical Modic changes to the treatment of CDH by traditional Chinese medicine.
