The Controlled Clinical Studies On Coronary Heart Disease Associated With Depression And Anxiety Treated By Shuangxin Decoction

Objective:To observe the clinical intervention efficacy of Shuangxin decoction on patients with Coronary Heart Disease associated with psychological barriers.Methods:From Nantong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine outpatient and ward, select60patients of Coronary Heart Disease, aged from40to75years old, who are associated with depression and anxiety. Randomly divided into two groups, Treatment group30cases and Control group30cases. Using the General Hospital Anxiety Depression (HAD) Scale to assessed patients’s anxiety and depression before and after treatment. The two groups are all given psychological intervention and conventional cardiovascular drugs treatment, the Treatment group add Shuangxin decoction, and the Control group give Deanxit (Flupentixol and Melitracen Tablet), treatment for6weeks. Before and after treatment compare patients’ HAD scale scores, chest tightness and chest pain symptoms integral, TCM clinical syndrome integral, and clinical effectiveness of the two groups, use SPSS19.0data statistical to analysis.Results:On the improvements in symptoms of chest tightness and chest pain, the total effective rate of the Treatment group is80.0%, and the Control group is43.4%, there is a significant statistical difference (P<0.05) in the two groups; The two groups’ anxiety depression symptoms of after treatment are improved significantly, the total effective rate of Depression deducted in the Treatment group is90.0%, and the control group is86.7%, and the total effective rate of Anxiety deducted in the Treatment group is86.7%, and the control group is83.4%, there is no significant statistical difference (P>0.05) in both groups, showing that Shuangxin decoction has a antidepressants and anti-anxiety effect, which is like Deanxit. Comparing with before treatment the Traditional Chinese Medicine syndromes of the two groups are obviously improved, the Treatment group total effective rate (76.7%) is better than that of the Control group (36.6%), and compared two groups, there is a statistically difference (P<0.01). Before and after treatment the blood, urine and dung routine examinations in patients of two groups have no changes, and there is no obvious abnormity in liver and kidney function examination.Conclusion:Shuangxin decoction can effectively improve chest tightness and chest pain symptoms in patients of Coronary Heart Disease associated with depression anxiety symptoms and syndromes, the curative effect is superior to western medicine Deanxit, and it can effectively alleviate the psychological disorders of these patients with depression and anxiety. Shuangxin decoction is a safe and effective prescription for Coronary Heart Disease associated with depression and anxiety, and it is worth further promotion in the clinical practice.
