ObjectiveTo evaluate the anus function objectively by using endoanalultrasonography(EUS) and anorectal manometry after operation forimperforate anus.MethodsThe thickness of internal anal sphincter (IAS) and external analsphincter (EAS) within middle anal canal, endosonographic elastographyand blood flow distribution of the anal sphincter, rectoanal inhibitoryreflex (RAIR) were measured by EUS and anorectal manometry in34postoperative children with imperforate anus to assess postoperative analfunction combining clinical scoring system. The Pe a group, perinealanoplasty group and the control group of internal and externalsphincter thickness were analyzed by independent sample t-test betweengroups.Results(1) The excellent rate of rectoanal inhibitory reflex (RAIR) elicited inanorectal manometry was91.2%,the excellent and good rate of sphincterthickness measured by EUS in middle anal canal was100%.Both rates arehigher than that in clinical scoring system which is70.6%.Objectiveindicator of recovery is earlier than the subjective index, can refer to the objective index of subjective indicators, recovery is not satisfied with thechildren, for individual functional exercise.(2) The thickness of IAS and EAS in middle anal canal in Pe aoperation group were1.42±0.22mm and3.21±0.25mm,perineal anoplastygroup were1.33±0.22mm and3.10±0.33mm,the control group were1.21±.017mm and3.00±0.18mm,there were no significant differencesbetween the groups(3)6cases detected sacrococcygeal anal muscle defect in20cases afterPe a operation with EUS.ConclusionEUS and anoretal manometry can be used to objectivelyevaluate defecation function of congenital anorectal malformations afteroperation....
