Abstract/Summary:
Purpose: Analysis and evaluation of posterior lumbar decompression andfusion fixation strengths and efficacy in the treatment of upper lumbar discherniationMethods: January2005to June2011,41cases with posterior lumbarinterbody fusion(PLIF) of the upper lumbar disc herniation, whichtransforaminal lumbar interbody(TLIF)13cases, laminectomy withtransforaminal discectomy and lumbar interbody fusion in28cases,paired ttest analysis VAS and ODI numerical value of preoperative and3days afteroperation, preoperative and final follow-up.Results: All patients were followed up for12to48months,an average of24months,back pain patients have received varying degrees ofimprovement,no surgery intervertebral segmental stenosis, prosthesiswithout sinking, were obtain good fusion.VAS and DOI scores of3daysafter operation and final follow-up were significantly lower than thepreoperative,P<0.05.Conclusions:Posterior surgery clear vision, be able to look straight downat the disc excision, interbody fusion parallel, fewer complications,a smallchance of nerve damage, and stability through reconstruction of posterior spinal fixation system,to avoid instability caused by lumbar spinecomplications occurred back pain and discomfort,is a practical andeffective way for the treatment of upper lumbar disc herniation.
