Objective: To observe the incidence of complications at the puncturesite between immediate and delay pull the sheath, between arterycompressor and salt bag methods, and among different arterial sheath sizesafter artery stenting. Methods: According to compression method of puncture site,125patients in A ward of Neurology department in our hospital withextracranial artery or renal artery stenting between January2007to April2013were is divided into three groups:A group (66cases) pulled thearterial sheath after3h, salt bags compression;Group B (46patients) pulledthe arterial sheath immediately and used artery compressor;Group C (13cases) pulled the arterial sheath after3h and used artery compressor.Eachgroup was divided into6F,7F and8F subgroups according to the size ofthe arterial sheath.Record the complications of puncture site duringcompression. Results: The complication at puncture site after stenting were onlysubcutaneous bleeding and skin induration, the majority was subcutaneousbleeding and the minority was skin induration. There was no difference in the incidence of complications during A B C three groups and differentsubgroups of arterial sheath (p>0.05).Conclusion: There was no difference in the incidence ofcomplications at puncture site between different time pulling the sheathafter stenting, artery compressor and salt bags and different arterial sheathsizes.
