Objective:Research the relevance of functional constipation efficacy, treated with acupuncture, and mental state. Explore the relevance between psychological disorders and acupuncture treatment, as well as the condition improvements. It is better for clinical to understand and treat with functional constipation.Method:60patients of functional constipation was treated with acupuncture, grouped into a test group and a control group by Central stochastic systems. Fill SDS depression self-rating scale,SAS Self-Rating Anxiety Scale and the SCL-90Symptom Checklist before the treatment. Observed differences in efficacy with or without mental disorders.34patients with mental disorders, again fill SDS, SAS and SCL-90after the treatment. Observed the degree of improvement in mental disorders in the test group and the control group. Then according to CSAM after treatment, divided patients into two groups, well effect group and poor effect group. Observed the correlation between efficacy and psychological disorders. Results:Mental disorders such as depression, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, the "other" factors (mainly eating and sleeping), anxiety have a high frequency in patients with functional constipation. The highest severity of symptomsis obsession, followed by depression. Mental disorders in patients with functional constipation mainly appeared negative "emotion", fewer physical symptoms. Mental disorders improvement in patients with functional constipation was not probably significantly related with acupuncture treatment. The improvement of efficacy with functional constipation was related to the improvement with "anxiety" factor, not other factors. In addition,"hostile" factor was not better after treatment. Efficacy of functional constipation and extent of psychological barriers were relevant, but it had probably nothing to do with the severity of mental disorders. Conclusions:Patients with functional constipation there accompany with psychological disorders; treat functional constipation with acupuncture, which impact mental disorders; with or without mental disorders influence the efficacy of functional constipation, but the severity of the mental disorders has probably nothing to do with the efficacy of functional constipation; the degree of improvement in mental disorders, another anxiety, others have probably nothing to do with the efficacy of functional constipation. Psychological symptoms in patients improve before and after treatment, which indicates constipation is really bothering them, and it is one of the causes of psychological disorders.
