Objective: analyze the diagnosis and treatment of urethral injury inchildren, and discuss the effective treatment.Method: retrospective analysis of73cases of children with urethralinjury admitted in the nearly decade.Result:66cases were male,7cases were female, aged1-15years old(average age7). In the male cases, anterior urethral injures8cases, bulbousurethral injury10cases, posterior urethral injuries44cases, bladder neckinjury4cases; In the female cases, urethral injury6cases, bladder neckinjury1case. Urethral realignment had a successful rate of78.6%, primaryurethral anastomosis has a successful rate of80%, and the successful rateof suprapubic cystostomy was69.6%.Conclusion: Children urethral injury more likely happens in preschoolchildren, male cases outnumber female cases. In the presence of traumaclose to the perineum and the clinical features of urethral injury, one shouldbe on high alert for urethral injuries. Retrograde urethrography endures asthe cornerstone for the diagnostic appraisal of children urethral injury.Formulate corresponding treatment according to the comprehensive assessment of the patient’s general condition and damage types.
