Research Of Nursing Service Quality Evaluation System For Confinement-caring Woman

Objectives:The research aims to build a nursing service quality evaluation system for confinement-caring woman based on Delphi method, to assess quality and decide grades from nursing profession’s perspective, and further to provide scientific and objective references for employers’selection, homemaking company’s assessment and salary distribution.Method:Through literature review, theory analysis and semi-structured interview, an embryo of the evaluation index of nursing service quality for confinement-caring woman was formulated. Then the index screening and weight determining at all levels were done based on Delphi method. Combined with the expert opinion the third-level indexes were quantified, and further with the grades determined the evaluation system was completed. All data were analysed by SPSS17.0.Results:1. Formation of embryo of the evaluation index:using literature review, theory analysis and semi-structured interview, the preliminary index was drawn up, including three first-level, ten second-level and29third-level indexes.2. Determination of nursing service quality evaluation system for confinement-caring woman:(1) Determination of all indexes:after two rounds expert consultation, the evaluation index was constructed, which was composed of34items from2domains including profession skill and general conditions of confinement-caring woman. The means of all indexes ranged from3.80to5.00. The coefficients of variation ranged from0.000to0.184and full mark proportion ranged from26.7%to100%except for several indexes. The enthusiasm coefficients of experts for two rounds were respectively93.75%and100%, the average authority coefficient of experts was0.857. The harmonization coefficient of all levels of index ranged from0.2to0.5, and the test of harmonization coefficient showed P<0.05. The ages, academic level and job structure of all experts show good representativeness.(2)The weight of index:the weights of all the indexes were set up. Weights of the two first-level indexes were respectively52%and48%, while weights of seven second-level indexes were47%,53%,21%,19%,20%,20%and20%.(3)Quantification of the third-level indexes and service grade determination:criteria of all third-level indexes were developed in the form of operation exam or five evaluation method, with the help of management experts and statisticians. Then the nursing service quality evaluation system was further completed followed with four grades of confinement-caring woman determined by hundred-mark method: primary, mediate, advanced and star grades.Conclusions:1. The nursing service quality evaluation system for confinement-caring woman is built based on Delphi method, which consists of two first-level, seven second-level and25third-level indexes. The construction and weights of all indexes are well oriented and practical.2. Quantification of the third-level indexes and grades determining in this research can provide scientific references for employers’selecting and judging confinement-caring woman, and for formulating grades standard of confinement-caring woman in hunan province.
