Objective:In order to explore the neuroanatomy pathogenesis of monocular amblyopia children, visual pathways white matter of monocular amblyopia was reconstruct via using the technique of diffusion tensor imaging. Methods:DTI was obtained from fifteen children with monocular amblyopia. Fractional anisotropy (FA) image of each subject was measured from the obtained original image data and formatted into a standardized template. The visual pathways were rebuilded by tractography and regarded as regions of interest (ROI), and the average FA and ADC of the visual pathways were calculated and compared between two group. Analyze the development situation of visual pathways of cerebral white matter fiber of monocular amblyopia children.Results:①The average FA value of the optic nerve, optic tract, lateral geniculate body and optic radiation of amblyopia side is lower than normal vision side, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The average FA value of optic chiasma of amblyopia side is slightly lower than normal vision side, but the difference is not statistically significant (P>0.05).②The average ADC value of the optic nerve, optic tract, lateral geniculate body and optic radiation of amblyopia side is lower than normal vision side, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The average ADC value of optic chiasma of amblyopia side is slightly lower than normal vision side, but the difference is not statistically significant (P>0.05).③There is no relationship between Visual acuity and the value of FA, as well as Visual acuity and the value of ADC.Conclusions:Monocular amblyopia children had a poor visual pathway development of white matter structures, suggesting that this may be the reason why amblyopia children had poor visual acuity.
