Abstract/Summary:
Objective:To reach the feature of brain functional of front gyms, anterior cingulate cortex and of with disorder(GAD). Methods:A case-control study was conducted. we used19patients(9males,10females, age23-50;average40±8.9) and20cases(10males,10females, age21-50;average34.8±7.2) were matched with the former in age、 gender、level of education. Hamilton Anxiety Scale-17(HAMA) was used to evaluate the severity of anxiety symptoms; A3.0-T nuclear magnetic resonance machine was used to test levels of Choline(Cho), Creatine(Cr), N-acetyl-aspartate(NAA) and value in millions of units(PPm)and Cr as a reference to calculate the NAA/Cr and Cho/Cr ratios. All data were statistically analyzed by SPSS17.0.Results:1. The levels of Cho、Cr、 NAA in right middle frontal gyrus white matter, and levels of Cho、Cr in right anterior cingulate cortex and the levels of NAA in left anterior cingulate cortex in patients with GAD were much higher when compared with that of controls.2.The levels of NAA in right anterior cingulate cortex, and Cho、Cr in left anterior cingulate cortex, and Cho、Cr、 NAA in left frontal gyrus white matter had no significant difference in two groups.3.There were no significant difference in NAA/Cr、Cho/Cr in both right and left middle frontal gyrus white matter or right and left anterior cingulate cortex between GAD and controls.4.The level of Cho、Cr、NAA、NAA/Cr、Cho/Cr in hippocampus had no significant difference between two groups. Conclusion:There exist some abnormal chemicals metabolisms in some regions of brain in patients with GAD. our results indicated this abnormal chemicals metabolism existed mainly in right brain.
