Objective:This study is done to observing mild moxibustion and lovastatin for each group atherosclerotic rabbit serum SAA, IL-6、TNF-α、SAA expression of IL-10and liver tissue, the inquiry mild moxibustion treatment of atherosclerosis (AS) anti-inflammatory mechanisms. To clear hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis moxibustion treatment efficacy, and comparable with western medicine, while avoiding the side effects of drugs.Method:The40Japanese healthy male rabbits were randomly divided into normal group (control group), model group (AS model group), moxibustion group (AS+mild moxibustion group) and drug group (AS+lovastatin group) to fat diet and immune damage modeling method for preparing a rabbit model of AS, the normal group received normal diet, without any intervention; model group were fed high-fat diet; moxibustion group were fed high-fat diet, and moxibustion; drug group fed with high fat feed, and lovastatin capsules daily10mg/kg oral dose,14weeks after the subjects, serum by ELISA SAA、IL-6、TNF-α、IL-10changes in inflammatory markers, Western Blot to detect the SAA protein expression in the liver. Statistics and data entry and data analysis using SPSS17.0statistical software.Result:After14weeks,serum TC、TG、HDL、LDL were significantly higher than those in the normal group, there was statistically significant (P<0.01), moxibustion serum TC, TG, LDL-c levels compared with the model group were significantly lower (P<0.01); compared to the drug group, moxibustion group decreased TC, LDL-c trends are better than the medication group (P <0.01), for TG, HDL-c effects between the two groups was not significant (P>0.05). The untreated group rabbit serum SAA, IL-6, TNF-a expression was significantly higher than the drug group, moxibustion group and the normal group, and there was significant difference (P <0.01, P<0.05), serum IL-10the performance of the model group than in the group with moxibustion drugs, and there is a significant difference (P<0.01, P<0.05); SAA protein expression in rabbit liver tissue model group was significantly higher than the drug group, moxibustion group and the normal group (P<0.01, P<0.05).Conclusion:Mild moxibustion group and drug group can by adjusting the relevant anti-inflammatory cytokines and pro-inflammatory cytokines,therapeutic effect of atherosclerosis, mild moxibustion group and the drug group is quite effective.
