Moxibustion with mugwort as the main material is a kind of traditional therapy, which has warming and herbal stimulation effects to prevent diseases by putting burning mugwort on body surface burning,warming fumigating and ironing.While burning mugwort,light,heat,moxa smog and some products in moxibustion are generated,make the moxibustion play a unique curative effect.Products in moxibustion refers to the products generated during moxibustion treatment,including moxa smog and tar left on the moxibustion regions after mugwort floss burning and so on.The research about moxibustion mainly focuses on the heat and light,but for the products in moxibustion has not seen reports in the literature.Clinical studies have clear the effect of moxibustion therapy to the hyperlipemia patient.The topic selected the hyperlipemia animal model for the research to explore the role of products in moxibustion and its safety in the moxibustion therapy.ObjectivesTo observe products in moxibustion's biological effects and it's role in the function of moxibustion with the hyperlipemia rats model,and do the safety evaluation for the products in moxibustion.Methods50 SD rats were randomly divided into blank group,model group,and three therapeutic groups(including heat and smog group,heat without smog group and smog without heat group) equally.The rats in model and three therapeutic group took the fatty feed.The rats in the three,therapeutic groups were treated by the manipulation of heat and smog,heat without smog,and smog without heat on Shenque point from the 22nd day with 15 minutes every time,once a day(2 weeks),at the same time,other group rats were snatched.Results1.After the treatment for two weeks,HDL-C was much higher in different group, which had distinct difference(P<0.01).TC,TG and LDL-C were lower in three therapeutic groups,which had distinct difference(P<0.05,0.01)2.After the treatment,blood viscosity was lower at the shear rate(200,30,1) in different group,which did not have distinct difference(P>0.05) Plasma viscosity in the model group was higher than the blank group,which had distinct difference (P<0.05),at the same time,the three therapeutic groups' plasma viscosity was lower than the model group,which did not have distinct difference(P>0.05)3.Lung,trachea and liver's histopathologic examination with HE staining revealed(1)LungThe tissue structure of the blank group was normal.The model group revealed the alveolar interval widened obviously,local pulmonary intersitital was filled by plenty of inflammatory cells.Compared with the model group,pulmonary interstitial effusion of the heat and smog group was light,but part of alveolar wall structure was mildly damaged,the alveolar cavity and pulmonary intersitital were hyporrhea. Heat without smog group displayed the normal alveolar interval structure; pulmonary interstitial effusion was lightening obviously.Alveolar wall structure was not complete in the smog without heat group,plenty of blood in the alveolar cavity and the alveolar interval widened slightly,black particles deposited in the pulmonary intersitital.(2)TracheaThe blank group structure was normal.The model group showed mucosal layer and part of sub mucosa region infiltrated mononuclear cells,some epithelial surfaces cilia loss.The three therapeutic groups were lighter than the model group, no significant differences between groups.(3)LiverThe liver tissue structure in the blank group was complete.Moderate fatty degeneration of the model group,with a large number of liver cells vacuolization, mainly in large and medium-sized lipid droplets.Compared with the model group, the three therapeutic groups were lightly fatty degeneration,with a small number of liver cells vacuolization,mainly in medium and small-sized lipid droplets,and the smog without heat appears the liver cell swelling.Conclusion(1) Products in moxibustion have a certain impact on the blood-fat of hyperlipidemia rats.In a certain degree,it reflects the role of products in moxibustion as one of principles of moxibustion.(2) The results of experiment showed that lung of the rats in the smog and heat group,smog without heat group has plenty of blood in the alveolar cavity black particles deposited in the pulmonary intersitital.The safety of the products in moxibustion is worth further study.
