Objective:Treat patients with spinal related allergic rhinitis by acupuncture and tuina. By observing the symptoms and laboratory parameters’improvement of these patients, evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of this therapy, lay the foundation for its clinical application and further research promotion.Methods:60patients met the inclusion criteria and contain no exclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group30cases and control group30cases. The treatment group was treated by acupuncture and tuina, the control group was treated by Cetirizine Hydrochloride Tablets. Take T5SS as main evaluation index, use VAS, RQLQ and serum IL-4level as secondary evaluation index. Evaluate the efficacy by comparing parameters before and after treatment in each group and between the two groups. Evaluate the safety by comparing adverse reaction cases between the two groups. Results:The difference of each parameter before and after treatment had significantly statistical significance(P<0.01) in two groups. It means the therapy of each group can improve symptoms significantly and achieve good efficacy. The sneezing score after treatment and the change of runny nose score had statistical significance(P<0.05) between the two groups. Other parameters and the change of score had no statistical significance(P>0.05) between the two groups. It means the overall efficacy of two groups is equal, but the control group may perform better to improve the sneeze. The adverse reactions rate in treatment group was3.4%and14.3%in control group. The adverse reaction cases had no statistical significance(P>0.05) between the two groups. It means the safety of two groups is equal, both of them are safe therapy to treat spinal related allergic rhinitis. Conclusions:Acupuncture and tuina is an effective and safe therapy in treating spinal related allergic rhinitis. It can effectively improve sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, nasal itching, eye itching and other symptoms in patients, Improve quality of life and reduce serum levels of IL-4, regulate the immune imbalance.
